Keep bugging the utility. Sounds like a neutral issue on their end. I had flickering lights and issues low voltage equipment for a while. Kept calling them until they finally admitted their problem and fixed the loose neutral. It was a pretty big voltage difference across the legs. Like > 20V de...

Thanks! I appreciate this very much. I have basically proposed a deal where I pay selling price (negotiating a bit on sales price to haggle on the dealer fee) plus Florida state sales tax and handle the remaining Louisiana taxes, title, etc. myself where I register it. Louisiana will deduct Flori...
They are full of shite, as said they can negotiate the fee away by lowering the purchase price.
Yup. I'm working that angle now. ...
Man, no doubt. Just looking into the "pre-delivery service fee" they have listed of $1,199. Apparently in Florida, you can't negotiate that fee away. The dealerships can assess the fee, but must assess the same fee on all vehicles sold. :dunno:...
I know this has been covered, but trying to make sure I understand potential options. I'd like to pay cash for a used vehicle from a dealer in Florida. I was hoping there was an option to purchase the vehicle and handle taxes, registration, etc. myself when I bring the vehicle back home. I ...
It’s a metal box that birds shite on.
  I'm totally with you. That's why I refuse to spend crazy money on vehicles. Just won't do it. The truck I just sold was a 2003 F250 that I bought for $14,000 and sold for $14,000 after five years of ownership. Very little mainte...
Man I'm gonna tell you and beg you to stay as far away from this POS vehicle as you can. We had one, and had tons and tons of problems. Thankfully we purchased an extended warranty with it because we never would have been able to afford all the repairs. Finally it became a money pit, and we g...
We're a family of 5, and unless you have a different vehicle that you use as your family hauler I can expressly say that none of the existing mid-size SUVs will fit your needs. I guess that's a great cross-comparison. Hadn't looked too hard at the Explorer - thought they'd be more expensive. Will look into comparisons! Appreciate the feedback....

GMC Acadia? Looking for opinions

Posted by lnomm34 on 6/6/24 at 9:50 am
I'm on the hunt for a new (to me) vehicle in the <$25k price range. I'm not set on a third row but the ability to carry an extra person when my family of 5 is going somewhere could be nice. I have been scouring used car sites and see some 2019-2020 GMC Acadias with 35k-60k miles in my price ra...
