I got a text from entergy that power will be back on 9/8. This is ridiculous, given that my tenants (2 minutes away) got theirs(a relief for them). So it’ll take entergy another week? Maybe I should send them my gas bill. It’s $55/day notice counting the gas I burned while looking to refuel.

I know it is very early in a very long process. And hopefully, Entergy will get a WHOLE lot better at allocating resources.

Here in Broadmoor, there is another section of 4 to 5 blocks with no power just 2 blocks away from where the fleet was sitting all day. And not one of the idle trucks or crews even drive thru the other part of the neighborhood.

I’m sure they went where they were assigned. But whoever is assigning them needs to step up their game bigly.

Outside looking in is just frustrating. I’m sure there’s a plan in place but doesn’t really seem like it. The communication just sucks.

“We’ll have better estimates by today”…then by days end it’s just a generic mass text out that gives everyone the same timeframe.

“Oh geez that’s terrible I guess you’ll have to cancel and go with the other energy provider in the area?”

I live off Perkins in Manchac Place, near the Ascension/EBR border... I got the Sept. 8 estimate as well. Wonder what it would have been had that Coca~Cola driver not moved the barricades and knocked down the lines they spent 16 hours working on yesterday

It’s Entergy. There is no plan ever. They’re never held accountable for their shitty infrastructure because they know they can’t be touched. Instead the PSC will be faux outraged just like after the ice storm.

I feel sorry for all the out of state crews that had to come in to clean up this mess but at the end of the day it’s their job and what they signed up for. The sucking them off on FB is nauseating.

Agreed.

I think most of the frustration for everyone is the lack of transparency. We have a monopoly utility provider and I know they have the means to be better equipped to handle this and communicate it. If there was more than one provider I feel like the competition would provide customers with more options. But here we are.

Gonna be contacting my guy almost daily who has my 50% down for a generator. Don’t really wanna do this again next year.

I just passed the state fairgrounds and there are probably 100 trucks out there. Even saw two with tank treads.

Is MikeD lying to us? I’m finishing up dinner at Bistro Byronz and gonna drive by and see.

No way… wouldn’t lie about that. It was a little before 4:00 that I passed by. Must have rolled out between when I passed and you saw nobody.

Go ahead. It’s apparently on the 5th circle of hell’s power grid so I may burn it down anyway
