The hitting the girl part is troubling and wrong without knowing anything else. The cursing at a teacher was wrong and unacceptable. If the bullying a black kid actually happened (or was even due to race) it would have been noted as more than an accusation like the other stuff listed. Saying something about bringing a gun to school was stupid but also depends on the context. It was likely joking around, but I understand the school has to treat it seriously if they are told about it. Seems like just being stupid again. Also, seems like he got too amped up during football games, but he did go to counseling for it.

So Austin was a bit of a douchebag, while Karmelo was a bit of a douchebag AND a murderer.
One of them got the harshest sentence in existence, while the other sits in a cell getting fed three meals a day, visits from friends and family, has TV and exercise time, and will see freedom in a couple decades.
Should we free all murderers that killed someone without a spotless past? Is murder less murder-y if you kill someone that isn't a perfect angel?
All this stuff being released on both sides is doing nothing but stirring up the shite again. I really hope the new judge doesn't grant a new trial, this is setting a horrible precedent if he does.

I would add that on that particular day Austin seemed relatively subdued from other past events described by the defense yesterday and didn't even specifically deserve to get his arse kicked for anything he did in his interaction with Anthony that day.
It’s clear now that Anthony was looking for a fight and to use his knife during that fight which answers why he even bothered staying in the other school's area when asked to leave in the first place. The bullying and in fear of life was shown to be BS with the video and eyewitness testimony, and the theory they knew each other and had previous confrontations has always been an internet spread myth.
