Was Karmelo aware of any of this when he stabbed him? If not, of what relevance is it to the case?
It’s not which is why is wasn’t in the trial, but the new defense is trying to claim there was supposed to be a gentleman’s agreement to focus 100% on that day or specifically under the tent that day which prosecutors threatened to break if Karmelo took the stand thru the prosecution attempting to open the door to prior actions during their cross of Anthony (specifically the texts and stalking accusations a couple of hours before the murder which I don’t think should have been part of agreement and not sure about any of the rest).
According to the defense that possibility and the likelihood that Anthony would fail to avoid opening the door especially when not prepared properly in advance forced them on the last day to decide not to let Anthony testify which Anthony agreed with (this was what the delay was about that last day before defense rested).
The defense says the prosecutors gained a bigger benefit than the defense under the agreement by threatening or waiting to do this on the last day, and that the judge didnt put an absolute stop to the possibility of the door being opened. Prosecutors claim the Defense had already brought up something positive at school in Anthony’s past opening the door, and the defense admits the prosecutors never explicitly stated Anthony’s testimony was included but was just assumed to be all encompassing. Prosecutors also say the defense didn’t really want to put Anthony on the stand as he would have done more harm than good.
So basically since there is a he said she said aspect to the gentleman’s agreement on crossing Anthony it appears all the past stuff is being brought up now as an attempt to show who did or did not gain the larger benefit by agreeing not to bring up past behaviors while later threatening to try to open the door during cross of any testimony by Anthony.

It’s so wild. What prosecutor would pass on that evidence regardless how right you think the case is. I could agree on not going back 10 years on every parking ticket but texting your GF the morning of saying you are going to stab someone and then lick the blood off the knife should be a nail in the coffin for life. One could argue that was that day in the tent and not his grammar school report card. Seems like he had a sweetheart deal and these goons are still crying foul.

hey now, don't talk about our hero like that. We've spent the last 6 months rallying around him. It will take quite some time to come to terms with our new reality.

Not to defend Austin Metcalfs racist behavior but that's only a step above the edgy shite kids his age will post on social media for attention
I don't justify it, he was a racist but they do that.
Karmelos history is concerning. He wanted to be a criminal despite his middle class upbringing . He wouldve hurt his future girlfriends or worse

it's literally meaningless and a fraction of the piece of shite thug your boy Karmenjello is. According to the feckless prosecutor's own 75-page filing:
quote:
lol. yep, normal edgy teenager.
According to the prosecutors’ own 75-page filing, this was Karmelo Anthony’s history:
On mutiple occasions he was accused of taking his girflriend's phone from her and keeping it. Once he drafted a to-do list instructing his girlfriend how to handle “weirdos,” including the line, “Say some slick like my boyfriend kill people.”
Other text messages revealed that he admitted to punching girls in the face on at least two occasions.
Prosecutors found 2021 messages between Anthony and another student discussing robbing someone for $300.
Other messages showed Anthony recounting a fight in which he punched someone so hard that he had to stop fighting.
In 2023, prosecutors say Anthony told a friend that he planned to vandalize a house in Austin, writing, “I just feel like it. I got a grudge.”
In 2021, Anthony told a friend that he had been suspended for three days for fighting, adding, “They said next time I do some, I get recommended for expulsion.”
In a 2023 text exchange, Anthony wrote, “I’mma shoot the school up tomorrow with my Blick.” He later followed that up by saying, “I would never actually do that.”
In a 2024 message thread, prosecutors say Anthony admitted to carrying a firearm and told a friend before a party that he would “have the gun in my pocket.”
Other messages referenced Anthony carrying a gun after receiving multiple suspensions for fighting while attending school in Louisiana.
After he moved to Frisco, his girlfriend suggested that he should simply sit down and relax for a while. Anthony responded, “Yeah, and punch people, maybe run sometimes. I have to. It’s like a priority for me. I like punching people. When I get mad, I see red. When I get mad, I black out. When I get mad, I can’t control myself.”
Prosecutors also found messages in which Anthony admitted to getting high and drinking alcohol. He even discussed selling drugs to obtain guns.
In 2024, prosecutors say Anthony tried to assault a teacher, stating, “I put my hands in [her] face and everything.”
Other 2024 messages suggest that Anthony attempted to take a weapon into the Texas State Fair. He asked a friend whether the fair had metal detectors. When told that it did, the friend asked, “You got the poker?” Anthony answered, “Yeah, I might have to toss it.”
Prosecutors reported that Anthony confessed to stealing a watch and earbuds in two separate Collin County burglaries.
He also admitted to bringing weapons onto a Frisco school campus. According to Anthony, his girlfriend reached into his bag to get his computer, and “my gun and my knife and some other stuff fell out.”
Prosecutors possess numerous unreleased photographs and videos showing Anthony holding firearms and making threats.
Authorities found a note on his phone containing racial tropes and slurs about blacks, whites, and Hispanics.
In another message, prosecutors say Anthony wrote, “I hate gay people.”
Prosecutors say Anthony repeatedly threatened to murder his girlfriend in text messages, including, “How many bullets you want coming out of your chest?” and “I’m going to get you.”
He also threatened her with a knife and wrote in another message, “When I stab somebody, I’m going to lick the blood off the blade.”
So, we have a well documented and lengthy track record of your boy Karmenjello committing violence, committing crimes, fantasizing about violence, threatening violence, carrying around illegal weapons, and showing a particular fascination with stabbing people.
That's your martyr. A homophobic violent racist thug. That's a good look for you. Congrats.

Karmelo was allowed to graduate after everything I listed above and him murdering another student in front of dozens of people. His family received more than $1 million in donations because racist Leftists (like yourself) openly celebrated him stabbing a white boy to death. And even still, people online insist he should be set free simply because they don’t like the racial makeup of the jury.
Meanwhile, here on TD, a mostly white, posters are calling Austin Metcalf a piece of shite.
That’s the difference.
And you’re too stupid to even recognize the distinction.

Link to where I ever said that? Or anything positive or promoting Anthony as a good or innocent person?
Obviously I know you're not going to be able to provide a link to something that never happened but don't let that take away the satisfaction you get from building strawmen and tearing them down to make your needledick feel not quite so needlly (needlily sp?).
btw, we're missing you in the reflecting pool threads. you seem to have lost interest in vehemently defending another one of Trump's flops. weird

I understand not speaking ill of the dead, but some people on here are going to great lengths to try and defend Metcalf's character. What's the point? You never even met the guy.
It was a terrible thing that happened. His family will never be the same. But apparently he was a little turd. Let it go.

No one said you specifically called Karmelo innocent. That’s the straw man you’re pretending to whine about.
Defending him doesn’t require you to post, “Karmelo is a good person.” It looks exactly like what you’ve done throughout this thread: ignore the prosecutors’ evidence detailing his years of violence, threats, weapons, and criminal behavior, redirect the conversation onto the dead kid, and attack anyone who points out the obvious pattern. (you tend to do this a lot)
The entire reason you’re in this thread is to defend your boy Karmelo by proxy. You don’t have to type “Free Karmelo” for everyone to see it, know it, so you can stop pretending otherwise.

I'm familiar with the stats, numbnuts. Black people have murdered more white people in the last 15 years than all the African-Americans who were lynched between Reconstruction and Jim Crow.
But what does that have to do with a bunch of strangers who'd never met Austin Metcalf taking time out of their day to defend him on the internet? I'm sure there've been some black people on far corners of the internet defending Karmelo Anthony's character today. Same caliber or weirdo.
A spade is a spade, and a turd is a turd.
