If Mississippi is like Texas a student is assigned an ID type name/number in the public education system to keep up with the “permanent” records. It follows the student from campus to campus or school district to school district. Unless there had been some formal legal change the school was probably just following the official name as put into the school system 12-13 years ago in kindergarten. As that is the name of the student that the high school can officially says has met whatever the state requirements are.

Hell, when I graduated many years ago we had a kid who went by the name “Booger”. At graduation his official name was read as he went across the stage.

Ended about 3 weeks ago in setx.

I so miss that magical feeling I had when I was a kid as well. The anticipation and just general holiday feeling was awesome. Sucks to get older withthe real stresses of life.

If that school allowed that nonsense to occur they are an inept organization. The graduation ceremony is a school promoted and endorsed program which allows student participation. Whereas a student successfully completing the state required curriculum earns a diploma there is not a guaranteed right to be allowed to participate. It is how schools keep some sort of control of the program. As a former high school principal all speeches were required to be submitted for review and approval prior to the ceremony. There has to be some sort of decorum. A high school graduation is not an appropriate time for nonsensical political promotion or demonization of an opposing group of folks.

All this does is show how truly stupid And inept the Democratic Party actually is. To go and pour million$ into redistricting which was in violation of a state’s constitution is absolutely idiotic. That governor has all but insured she is a 1 term official. This topic is a state issue which has been decided by a state court. The federal government really has no say here since this isn’t a federal violation. The old map obviously met muster, too bad those dumbass Democrats didn’t even research the rules before pouring resources into it. Pathetic.

Approximately 30 years ago traveling hwy 124 around the intracranial bridge from High Island Tx to Winnie I saw a light in the sky towards the East. It is a dark section of hwy in the marsh area. At first I was just thinking it was a distant plane but after watching for a few minutes it just darts at a 90 degree angle at a high rate of speed from path it was traveling. The speed at which it changed direction was not something that a plane or even helicopter could do. My wife asked did you just see that? It was something we didn’t talk to anyone about. It definitely was something we couldn’t explain.

To LSU’s credit this was pretty good. Alter it however you see fit to meet your goals.

I guess I fail to see why it’s a problem. If youre not a threat why not at least have the officer relax. Hell, it may be a simple gesture that gets a violation turned into just a warning. If cops aren’t dicks to me I see no reason to be one to them.
