Internet has been out since 2pm yesterday all around Shenandoah area.

Heard the gas company cut the main line on Jones Creek.

AT&T site says ETA 11 pm. But neighbor talked to a tech he saw that said could be 1-2 days.

Fun times!

Friendly reminder to those affected that pretty much all modern smartphones can be used to create a “personal hotspot”, using your phone’s cell service to broadcast a WiFi network that your other devices can join. You won’t want to do anything heavy, but it works in a pinch.

Had my mom over for dinner since she has no internet/cell service at her house. (Back of Shenandoah).

My parent live in the back of Shenandoah. Near Hagerstown. No cell service in the house. And intermittent in back or front yard. So no cell data either

If internet didn’t exist this would be a common practice still.

Correct, but in many (maybe most) cases, that's an add-on that you have to sign up for with your mobile provider, and pay extra.

The Internet worked at the library on Jones Creek. A viable option if you wfh but don't have a lot of phone talking to do.

Thankfully our internet has been up still but it affecting cell coverage in the area has sucked.

Think my family heard it was a wreck or somebody hit a pole or something but a cut line makes more sense.

Can’t eat dinner without your phone, that’s for sure.

Highland Road south side says it’s all good in our part of the St. George hood.

Pouring one out for our less fortunate Shenandoian homies.

Had a company bore through their fiber. They spent 15+ hours splicing everything back together and then when they were done and packing up, the gas company bored through the same damn fiber so they had to start over.

That’s what the guys said when I asked them at the corner of Jones Creek and Tiger Bend.

I have AT&T and live in White Oak Landing. We have terrible wireless service back here going on the 2nd day. Must be related.

ATT and REV installed competing fiber on opposite sides of the road in our neighborhood. The contractors installing it caused multiple water main breaks, and gas leaks. Miserable experience with zero accountability

It’s included without additional add on for most ATT mobile plans, but I can’t speak for any other carrier
