Guess a birth mother reaching out to contact her 17 year old twin daughters is a crime in Louisiana now. One day Shane Guidry will find himself inside a prison cell because people like this always find themselves in a federal prison when they think they are untouchable.
"Shane Guidry, the Louisiana oilman and major GOP political donor, needed help.
On a Saturday night in late January, Guidry’s adolescent daughter found out -- via a text message from her biological mother -- that she was adopted as a toddler.
Lacey Hooper, who has bounced between Mississippi and Louisiana over the years, yearned to reconnect with her daughter. She set up an anonymous TikTok account and “friended” the girl, then revealed the blood relation in a deluge of emotional texts.
The girl asked for proof, before one text shifted the tone.
“this is shane, if you contact (her) again, we will have you arrested. are we clear.”
It was no idle threat. Soon, the Louisiana Attorney General’s office had agents out looking for Hooper, first in Louisiana and then in Mississippi -- even hunting down her brother -- even though there was no indication a crime had been committed.

If you wanted the baby, should have not gave them up. I can’t stand people like this. #1 reason that has kept us from adopting: deadbeats trying to moonlight as parents.

The biological mother was fortunate someone was willing and able to care for her child. Now she is insistent on causing emotional harm to the child? I am against Roe v. Wade, but it has likely prevented a lot of similar situations like this from happening. Some people are just incapable of making correct decisions when it relates to well being of children and should not be parents.

I'm sure what he did is unethical, but someone contacts my daughter in this manner after I warned them to stop, and I'd use everything in my power to make them stop too.

I went to grammar school with the Guidry's. Shane's younger brother was in my grade... or maybe one behind me, I forget.
That entire family is full of assholes. Always been that way.

So slimy.
Why do we allow people like this to remain in power?

This is normal in LA.

This article might be true, but I hope everyone understands that there is a pissing contest between the Advocate/Georges and Landry, so I would take everything in this story with suspicion.

I figure it is a backdoor way to manufacture a “GOP” challenger much like with the insurance commissioner.
IIRC, that candidate was a Dem in all but affiliation and his backer was someone who got slapped for doing illegal shite on workman’s comp like claiming he paid people enough mileage to commute to and from Atlanta daily.

Hopefully Landry will round up the rest of the single moms in the state too. They should be banned from dating apps at least

So you have a woman who gave up the babies at 14 and finds out that the adoptive parent is extremely wealthy. Of course she’s trying to make a buck.

Fortunately, crimes aren’t defined by what anyone “sees” as a crime. Perhaps she violated a contract she signed for which she may be held civilly liable. We don’t throw people in jail for violations of contracts.

Bingo.
I hate corruption, but you mess with someone's kids and they have every right to use any means at their disposal to cause you harm.
My niece is adopted. If her druggy birth mother tried something similar, they could turn her into crawfish bait for all I care.

Yeah, this seems a rather petty at best, and possibly quite tawdry "hit piece." Daughter is still a minor. He's her legal guardian.

Careful, he’s going to be the next governor.

Just smear tactics aimed at landry. As said a few posts up nobody messes with my kid and gets away with it. Especially not a crack whore
