I hope not. He lost a lot of support when he put his head in the sand while Democrats stole the election.

100% a hit piece bc the media has blinders on as Democrats do so much worse.

I’m a huge supporter of Landry. Especially because he stood up to the feds & joined others states when Democrats stole the election in front of the entire world. He stood up to King Edwards and tried to prevent him from violating our rights under the guise of safety from Covid. He has also been active in standing up to big tech.

I still support him after this but I also have convictions so I don’t defend the indefensible. This was some bs here. if any other parent had called LE to say a biological parent contacted their 17yo online you can bet your arse that nothing would be done bc a crime wasn’t committed. I hate the big brother and this was an abuse of power. With that said, this is a bunch of nothing compared to what Democrats are doing abusing their power using political prosecution to hold Republicans in jail as “insurrectionists” without bail, while Democrats are still destroying cities, beating citizens, burning and looting.

So Democrats can spare me the feigned outrage.....

OP said 17. Regardless, if a crime wasn’t committed nothing would be done if you called LE or a DA bc a stranger sent a message to your kid online.

It would be unwise for either of my daughter's birth parents to attempt to contact my adopted daughter.

Yep, but your well founded hatred of the media and their hit pieces on Republicans is going to lead to disaster. I will tell you what I know, then I'll speculate on what will happen.

1. Jeff Landry is scum. He may be your favorite flavor of scum, but the way he operates his office is a disgrace, do you know how f*cking hard it is to be a disgrace in Louisiana? I'm not talking about what the media says about him, I'm talking direct personal experience with him. He is everyone's buddy, if you can pay the price.

2. Landy's is pandering us with these lawsuits, yeah, his enemies are my enemies, but I can tell you he doesn't give a shite about anything that doesn't push him to be governor. And if he actually gets there he will set us back.

3. Now here is where we a really screwing the pooch, I have no idea why more GOPers look past this. Remember a guy named David Vitter? A Senator who got reelected even though he had a history of hookers? A guy in a GOP state running against an incompetent idiot from a nothing parish, why, how the hell did that happen??? I'll tell you how, and West Point has nothing to do with it, scoff if you want, but when it comes to casting their vote, Republicans don't like people with character issues, they love you if you're clean, but a whiff of stink and you have problems. Landry is dipped in stink and it isn't going to wash off. Democrats don't have that problem, the more stink the better, they roll around in shite and call it manna, EWE anyone?

Where do we go? I've spoken to Garrett Graves, not about this, I don't know him that well, but, I knew his dad. I'd be very surprised if he left his House seat to be governor. I might not be surprised if he tried for Cassidy's Senate seat in 2026, Doc Bill made a lot of enemies this year. Billy Nungesser, I still wish John Young had beaten him for Lt. Gov..

A lot depends on who the Dems like, Jim Bernhart, John Georges, they sure as hell have the money, but I don't see them as real possibilities. No one seems to have a pulse on it. If the D's come up with a strong non-minority candidate, Landry is toast.

Sorry for rambling on, old guys tend to do that, I just see disaster written all over Jeff Landy's face. And another 4 years of a Democrat is nauseating.

Vitter had two RINOs running a scorched earth campaign against him and did everything they could to make sure Vitter lost to JBE including making sure Vitter couldn’t get their voters for the runoff.

Those two RINOs, Scott Angelle and Jay Dardenne, are finished in GOP politics now with Angelle hilariously losing to Clay Higgins and Dardenne completing the betrayal and took a paycheck from JBE. They burned those bridges.

Vitter wins without those two causing trouble.

JBE literally made it the main selling point of his campaign. It’s what he used to scam Louisiana voters into thinking he was some conservative Dixiecrat.

That candidate is going to be trashed and slimed as the next JBE, another national democrat and hardcore liberal pretending to be a moderate conservative blue dog Dixiecrat that was seeking to scam Louisiana like JBE scammed Louisiana.

We literally have the political twin of Edwin Edwards in the Governors office right now that also adores Huey Long and you’re going to post this nonsense?

I don't disagree with you far a second, but now would it really surprise you if it happened again? Landry has pissed off a lot of people who should be his friends.

A friend of mine is a lawyer and big proponent of Landry, contributes more than I can begin to afford, I told him of my run in with him, he said "it happens". Then he told me of a favor he asked of Landry, nothing illegal, something any citizen could request, he was hoping his request might be acted on in a more timely manner, so to speak. Landry kicked in downstairs, it took months, he said he could have done better just going and filing the paperwork himself.

Landry is a ball of shite.

Your friend sounds like a ball of shite. He expected Landry to do him a favor because he was a big donor.

That this state’s voters don’t have the capacity to make pragmatic and big picture decisions, don’t have enough partisan discipline, and only rule by emotion?

Sure anything’s possible. Never say never.

But after 8 years of a liberal democrat, character flaws should be much less important.

I can believe that.

But I also believe that they should be prepared to sacrifice a future in Louisiana GOP politics if they try to pull “Republicans for Edwards” nonsense.

Voters may hate assholes but they hate traitors that burn bridges even more.

Do they want to be the next Scott Angelle and Jay Dardenne with dead political careers and their influence severely diminished?

I am not quite sure I know how to respond to that. If it's a joke or not, I will presume it is, I always think it is beneath me to call people who post idiots.

I dislike Landry a lot, but you sir are correct. As a matter of fact I have a ranking I developed:

Most Corrupt People In Louisiana

1. All registered Democrats
2. Everyone else.
