What calls might that be? There were none, that’s why. How many did they reverse when they called it for LSU? All of them, that’s how many.

Yes, it does or it did.
When it was Chalmette Refining, it was XOM and PDVSA. Exxon got tired of 50% on the dollar comparable to Baton Rouge, Beaumont and Baytown and grew tired of PDVSA's crap.

Politicians.
They have refused to approve any refinery projects since the last one was built which was Marathon Garyville, LA in 1975. There has been expansion projects but no new refineries.
If we had more that can refine sweet crude which is what the US produces, what happens overseas for gasoline would not matter.
