This is at least the second or third incident in the area so far, and school just started.

A student in St. Tammany has been arrested following an altercation at a local school.

Deputies say around 11 a.m. on Friday, a school resource officer assigned to a high school was made aware of an altercation taking place in the cafeteria.

quote:

While attempting to break up the altercation, the SRO was elbowed in the face, and four teachers were kicked or hit.

According to STPSO, one teacher sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she received treatment for her injuries.

The SRO identified the aggressor as a 14-year-old boy, and he was taken into custody.

He was booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center and is being charged with one count of resisting a police officer with force or violence, one count of disturbing the peace/simple assault, one count of battery of a school teacher, injury required medical attention, and four counts of battery of a school teacher.

They haven’t released which school.

Counting Slidell as St. Tammany is like counting Cornell as an Ivy school

If it’s at Lakeshore that’s Mandeville, but it feels more like Lacombe

It’s Lacombe. Spare me the map showing where Lacombe and Mandeville are. It’s Lacombe.

I’m sure there was a “I dindu nuffin!” while he was actively resisting and assaulting law enforcement.

Costing his parents a couple thousand dollars will make them start to give a shite about him acting up. Fines and legal fees will surely kickstart their giveashit.

You guys on the north shore have to stop doing the mental gymnastics to pretend it’s not happening in your backyard now.

The public schools over there have made a dramatic shift and pretending otherwise is putting your head in the sand.

Mandeville High had 168 students get a 30 or higher on the ACT. 6 with a perfect score and 7 national merit finalist . That will go toe to toe with any private school in the state and beat most. Only the top private schools like Jesuit and Catholic will compare. Rummel, Brother Martin, etc will get beat by mandeville.

Mandeville High and Fontainbleau and the corresponding feeder schools are fantastic schools, the others are hit or miss. Same as ever
