This coming season is going to be a disaster.
Our OL is a complete mess and we haven't played a real game yet.
We are essentially starting 2 rookies at OT.
We are in serious trouble. ......and this, after we spent #1 picks on OT's the past 2 years to address the problem.
I pray that Loomis doesn't do anything stupid - like trading away our #1 next year in a desperate attempt to keep his and Dennis Allens jobs as our season slips away.
Until we clean house and correct our cap issues of paying people that haven't been on our roster in years, nothing will ever change. Loomis is the reason for this. A complete housecleaning is overdue. It cannot happen soon enough.

Don't forget that we are thin at WR and RB also. Any injuries to those WRs and Kamara is a disaster.
The offensive line is not going to get better overnight. Kubiak will have to perform miracles to mask this shite show.

Needs to be lots of quick reads and under 2s passes.
Carr needs to be a me to process 1-2 options and just go. That's how you mitigate the pressure situation and open things up.

It means Gayle is the only thing keeping the Saints in NOLA, which by population and business support isn’t a NFL city any longer.
I’m glad she loves the place, but constant streets flooding, rampant crime, boil advisories, and power outages scream 3rd world.
But NOLA can’t protect a billionaire from a carjacking attempt.

I think it’s going to be tough times ahead this season. Quite honestly, there’s just not that much talent on this team. There are some good players but no one on the roster that is a game changer. When you combine that with subpar coaching, it’s not the best recipe.
Looking at the schedule, I’m expecting a 1-5 start with the win coming in Week 1. If that happens, I expect them to can Allen right then just to try and salvage some interest with the fanbase. Remember the Detroit game in the dome last year with all of the bad PR about it being practically a Lions home game? You would get that in spades if the Saints are 1-5 and Allen is still coach.

1-5 most likely but no way better than 3-3 to start the first 6 games.

I’m on board with the apathy feeling about it.
You can get a sense if your team has a leader at the QB position to get you to the promise land and I’m sorry but Id bet every dollar ever made Carr will never be a SB contending QB.
He just isn’t a guy that will take over a team and grind you out a win even when the team isn’t clinking on all cylinders.
He just isn’t that guy.
And for that reason, living in Texas I’ll pull for Houston as a second team to have some relief.

That’s what happens with a owner that doesn’t really care, I’ll just leave it at that for her. A once great GM that’s past his prime that thinks he’s the boss and feels he’s untouchable. The team had a great run that many of us never thought we would see, but a rebuilding process needs to be exactly that, not something resembling it because people are afraid of making the decisions that need to be made.

Because the organization isn't trying to make a real legit effort to improve. First thing that must be done is fix the salary cap issues. Yet they keep kicking the can down the road. Sure Dennis Allen needs to go but I don't blame him. He was offered a higher paying more important job. I don't blame him for taking it, he just sucks as a HC. The real issue is Mickey Loomis. From shitty salary cap moves to him coming out and bashing the fanbase ( remember that from last season ) People can give him a pass if they want for the Payton / Brees era but that was just dumb luck on the part of Loomis. Remember Payton wasn't his first choice. Payton was the fall back. He offered the job to Mike MCarthy first and got turned down. He had nothing to do with signing Brees that was all Payton and Brees being rejected by Miami and Nick Saban and having no other options. I think you will be hard pressed to point at a single move that Loomis orchestrated that worked without dumb luck being involved.

That is the sad reality of the franchise. It has an owner who never really wanted to be an owner and doesn’t want to oversee any aspect of the team. Thus, she leaves it ALL to two guys. One of them being Loomis. Without any accountability above him, he is free to do whatever he likes.
It’s almost like the Cowboys with Jerry Jones. The owner is the GM…which means there is no accountability for the the personnel decisions

I don't know how that utterly arrogant interview last year isn't more of a meme with the fanbase. It's all blowing up in his face and he was captain smug a year ago.

Might also be a 1-3 win team too. You have to score more than 3 points a game to win in the NFL
