his floor and his ceiling are both very, very high, with injuries and age being his possible limiting factors.

He has all the traits of a great quarterback. Good size and athleticism, strong arm and mobile, good intelligence and work ethic, with seemingly a good feel for the game.

Once these NFL DC’s scheme him vs what he does/doesn’t do well, I think he’ll come back down to earth this yr but light his fire in yr 3.

I’m sure they will, but what doesn’t he do well? They can’t really say “collapse the pocket” because he is good on the move. They can’t really say “keep him in the pocket” because he’s tall and accurate. There are of course things he is better at than others, and they may find a weakness that we haven’t seen yet, but he is going to be difficult to game plan for because he has good tangibles and intangibles.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but his ceiling is Brady and his floor is Mahomes.

I don’t know, but he’s the best rookie qb I have ever seen and it’s not close

Did you miss Jayden Daniels rookie season? Or are you strictly talking about best rookie season in saints history you've ever seen?

If he can consistently be ranked in the Top 8 of all NFL QBs at the end of each season, the Saints will have hit the JACKPOT by drafting him.

There's always something. I wouldn't be surprised to see him have some tough games, but I think he has the ability to succeed in the long term...

Complex defensive schemes will give him fits, but that's also why having a coach like Moore (offense oriented) is important. He can coach and teach him

He was hot and cold his rookie year. Needs to be more consistent.

I'd give you a better answer for Shough had he played the first 8 games

Sophomore slump is much more the norm than a sophomore jumping into the top 10.

Besides Mahomie and Herbert I’m having a hard time thinking of others in recent memory.

How about every single top QB drafted the last 2-3 years? Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Bo Nix? All top 10 currently. Jayden Daniels excluded with injuries. Your list is great for 5-10 years ago but recently you either hit on a top QB or its a total dud. You listed several QBs who are just not good.

Drake Maye:
2024: 13 gms/ 2,276 yds/ 15 TD/ 10 int
2025: 17 gms/ 4,394 yds/ 31 TD/ 8 int

Caleb Williams:
2024: 17 gms/ 3,541 yds/ 20 TD/ 6 int
2025: 17 gms/ 3,942 yds/ 27 TD/ 7 int

Tyler Shough:
2025: 9.5 gms/ 2,384 yds/ 10 TD/ 6 int

If Shough is legit and continues to develop with more weapons then he should be expected to fall somewhere between Caleb/ Maye 2025 stats for 2026.

Should have a floor around:
4,000 yds/ 24 TD/ 12 int

I can’t argue about Kamara but i would take Cam back at a very team friendly deal

Top 2 hopefully. Not much behind Drew if we have to be honest.
