He should be 1.1 I’d take him over Ward

don't think I've ever seen a fanbase project a QB like this after a game with sub-150 yards passing, 0TDs and 1 INT.

Interception was Olave breaking off his route due to miscommunication. And he had 2 impressive rushing touchdowns. Did you miss these things or do you just like being the douchebag of Saints Talk?

The Vele trade was still horrible

It could be a steal if he and Shough can keep growing.

Shough looks to have promise but being a competent rookie at 26 was expected

How was Weeden and Winke when they were older rookies?

Get your wife off the board or check your tampon. You're either a woman or not very intelligent.

He wasn’t that good when he was here

Wrong

Correct

Coach Moore talked about Tipton mostly when asked about replacing Cooks.

We'll see how far up Shough moves

Solid 7 with room to grow

Taking recent drafts into account (2025 - 2014), the odds of Shough being anything but a backup are low. Here are all the QBs that were drafted outside of the 1st round, but within the first 75 picks. Derek Carr is the absolute creme of the crop of that group.

Cool, because Shough has a higher ceiling than Carr

He gets very panicky in the pocket.

He looked pretty good with the pressure Sunday and showed good escape ability

The most likely outcome is that they both suck

How would you know this? All I know is Shough looks at least as good as Rattler with no first team reps and 0 NFL starts.
Olave let the db rip the ball from his arms, Juwan had some drops and it was his first NFL action. I'd say he looks just as good as Rattler which shouldn't be since Rattler essentially has a whole season worth of starts.

Bucs would blitz the frick out of Shough.

he isn't a mobile QB.

Where are you getting this? Dude tested very well at the combine. Way better than Rattler

Blows my mind that anyone thinks Shough will be good. Dude sucked arse in all 7 seasons of college

There's people much smarter than you that think he can be.

Shough was so much better i think he would be the starter

Moore already said he believes in developing a qb and doesn't want to start him too early.
Got to be a troll, he's playing well
I just pay the extra few bucks for premium.

They didn't know they were going with Rattler when they picked at 40 last year.

Thank you. Someone with sense finally.
quote:

That’s what we are talking about…Taysom as QB.
— All he does is run QB draws as a QB.
— He cannot throw the ball.

He is not a starting Quality TE.
He is not a starting Quality RB
He is not a starting Quality WR

$10 million dollars a year for this player is not warranted.

He’s a luxury player for a good team….
He’s Not a Quality Building Block longterm starter for a Rebuilding Team.

He's one of the best football players in the NFL. As Derek Carr said, he's a hall of fame player with no position
Firstly, I'm all in for whoever Moore believes in, but you can't point out anything special about Rattler that makes me think we can win because of him. He's a win with QB, not win because of. That being said, as long as we're winning I don't care who is behind center.

ETA: Also, Shough hasn't even had a chance to show anything so his name shouldn't even be part of this conversation. Nobody knows what he would do out there.
quote:

He’s a Gadget Player

He's a difference maker and impact player. If you don't see that then you aren't watching.
He was actually turning the Raiders around previous to his expulsion
quote:

We saw Taysom at QB. He wasn't very good.

That was under a totally different scheme. I think he can do what Hurts does.
quote:

He's just not smart enough and can't process the information from the field quickly enough.

All the coaches talk about how smart he is, and you have to be to learn so many positions.
I wish I could agree. He was throwing behind the receiver on a ton of the crossers and slants I saw. That big miss when Kamara was wide open for a huge gain. He is a poor man's Aaron Brooks. Shows flashes but no consistency or accuracy, especially when it counts the most.
What the hell are y'all smoking? He makes plays every game
quote:

The Patriots have seen this dude in practice every day for the past few years, really don’t have many great options at WR, didn’t even have him taking up a roster spot due to him being on IR, and yet still traded him for the most minimum return a trade can yield. All this to say, this brotha SUCKS.

Especially with all those great quarterbacks throwing to him. Hard to imagine he didn't excel.

Sarcasm of course
quote:

If it were me and we're 0-6? Shough time...

I agree. We'd pretty much be out of playoff chances starting 0-6 and would have nothing to lose.

re: Shoutout Rattler

Posted by BRL79 on 9/7/25 at 3:06 pm to
Easily amused huh? The last throw was the worst of the game. Last play, yeah throw it out of bounds
Unfortunately yes. The unfortunate part is that's how bad our quarterback situation has been historically.

re: RAS Scores

Posted by BRL79 on 8/28/25 at 12:20 pm to
It's when you can find the RAS players that are also intelligent. That's when you have something. I think Stutsman will be that for us. Isaac Teslaa for the Lions will be one to watch also.
