CJ was one of the best three point shooters last year. He really doesn’t need the ball in his hands. I feel like he still is a solid starter if we move him to the 2 and herb to the 3.
The goal this offseason should be to bring in a point guard, bring in a defensive center, and the other 3 starters should be Zion, Trey, and Herb

The amount of people trying to hold on to CJ like he's a 24 y/o looking for his first big contract is wild.
Let's just trade every player on the damn team for a few years just to weed out the fans stuck in forever purgatory.
If trading CJ now gaurantees that Herb/ Hawk can reach their MAX potential in 3-4 years then you fricking do it.
So sick of giving veterans/ players on the way out more opportunities and value regardless of if they played well. He could also get injured and never recover because hes in his 30's.

And how has his team performed?
At least concede you were spouting nonsense and the offense wasn't a disaster the last 2 years like you incorrectly tried to argue.
This is why you can't be taken seriously, you double down or change your argument instead of conceding when you are factually wrong.

The deal being discussed is #3 for Williams and #6, so it’s just a trade up 3 spots. He left that part out

It's also hilarious the amount of fans that cried on here for years "we need better 3pt shooting" and we actually had the best three point shooter in the league last year (I can make that argument easily) and now he's just completely disposable.

CJ is in no way holding Herb back from becoming a better player/reaching his max potential. That is ridiculous to think that. It would be a dream for Hawk to down the road become a 20ppg player that shoots 43% from 3 on 8.5 3pg. So every Pels fan would love for him to become a... 32 year old CJ. Hawk has plenty of time to develop and can do that without starting, same as Trey did. You don't cast aside a guy playing at the level CJ did last year.

The problem there is coaching, which isn't changing.
What would Willie have changed? The obvious answer is take the ball out of BI's hands to keep him from dribbling the air out of it and then jacking up a stupid fadeaway...
In the play-in he benched BI late in the 4th, and BI pouted and sulked about it

Rumors are Klay is gone and will be joining the Magic. He is -110 Magic on draftkings, so it seems true.

That makes CJ to Orlando pretty unlikely.
Who is going to be their PG though….are they going to resign Fultz and run it back?

I do not think I did.
I said he wouldn't run Snyder's offense and that had he bought in, hed be more efficient as a shooter
Can you link the post where I called the offense a "disaster"? I have posted a lot and may not recall that exact post

I guess Suggs maybe? You have to have him on the court. Suggs, Klay, Wagner, Paolo with a center (Carter?) is the only thing that makes sense.

Paolo is there PG for the most part.

Suggs can take it up the floor. Paolo initiates the half court.
Don't they still have Cole Anthony too?
Thompson comes off the bench IMHO

How much are they going to pay him to come off the bench?
Posted on 6/26/24 at 12:41 pm to htran90
Suggs and Cole Anthony pretty much already surpassed Fultz last year.
That has absolutely no impact on this IMO.

I can't see Klay leaving GS to come off the bench for a fringe playoff team in the East

They were like the 4th seed last year. That's not fringe. GS couldnt make the playoffs in a loaded west that isnt getting any weaker
