One of the best young centers in the league?

Turner
Then maybe I would put Sengun, but with his health and play the last couple years you can argue Porzingas is better, and arguably Claxton is better. So Sengun is BARELY a top 10 center if he even is.

I wonder if anyone has interest in Cam Thomas. He had a great year and is cheap, but an expiring. I would think a couple of late first teams might want a 20+ppg scorer.
Also, what happens with Simmons? Does he play or do they buy him out?

Sengun is a better overall player than Turner and Allen.
While Turner and Allen have more defined strengths on defense and with Turner's shooting, Sengun is a better basketball player than both.

That Brooklyn team was such a shiteshow that Cam Thomas had so much freedom to take all the shots he wanted. The dude can light up the box score, but he doesn't bring anything else. He doesn't contribute to winning basketball.

Well good, if that’s the case then Griff shouldn’t have an issue trading for him

CajunMD says we're throwing herb and bi into the offer....

Lol the way Bobby Marks makes it sound you could just give BI and call it a deal. You do wonder if this is Griff feeding Bobby some info. CJ sitting right there too.

Crazy but he said exactly what i said yesterday. It had to be a perfect situation for him to go to and the demand wouldn’t be there because of his salary and teams woukd have to shuffle their roster for him.
Exactly what I argued against Cajun or whoever was claiming to give inside info yesterday….
Marks is gauging interest from other personnel people in the league.
That guy might be saying what the Hawks thinks he’s worth but that’s no where close to what he will bring back in a trade.

Just an aside. The NBA needs to eliminate protected pick trades and swaps. This shite is too complicated. Just trade it or not. I got this below from realGM. It's for a pick swap that Brooklyn owns in 2025..
"2025 first round draft pick from Phoenix, Houston or Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City has the right to swap its 2025 1st round pick for Houston's 2025 1st round pick protected for selections 1-10 or the L.A. Clippers' 2025 1st round pick; Houston then has the right to swap its pick or the Oklahoma City pick to Brooklyn for Phoenix's 2025 1st round pick; if the Houston pick falls within its protected range, then Houston's obligation to Oklahoma City will be extinguished and Houston will instead have the right to swap its pick to Brooklyn for the Phoenix pick [L.A. Clippers-Oklahoma City, 7/10/2019; Houston-Oklahoma City, 7/16/2019; Brooklyn-Cleveland-Houston-Indiana, 1/16/2021; Brooklyn-Indiana-Milwaukee-Phoenix, 2/9/2023; Brooklyn-Houston, 6/26/2024]"
I mean, come on, that's just confusing. It's mucking everything up..

Why lie? He said that's what the Hawks are asking, not that pels are doing it

They will have to keep him. No one is giving a big offer for him. It’s not gonna happen. They have to sell low on him or just move Murray.
Have to look at it this way salary wise, woukd you rather Trae or Murray and someone like Claxton. If all assets were even.

The flipside of this though is they don't have to trade him. The Pels can offer BI and a pick and the Hawks can decide they value Trae more than the league and say no. Trae kind of needs to push his way out and make the Hawks want to cut their losses and trade him for the best offer.
