49 wins aside, there were countless games that we could/should have won, but our offense turned to complete dogshit in the 4th quarter and we ended up losing

What's the point of running it back if your roster can't get a win in crunch time?

The problem there is coaching, which isn't changing.

New rumor talking about Hornets offering Mark Williams for Rockets number 3 pick. Are Rockets really done with Sengun??
What has Mark Williams done to warrant #3?

Good question. Supposedly rockets like him a lot. Im sure hornets would toss in other picks as well.

Feel like there's a missing piece here...

Miles Bridges/ Mark Williams for #3/ Sengun based deal?

Almost every move Houston is rumored in probably has implications in another player/ trade on their team.

Now replace "49 wins" with 40/ 42/ 46/ etcc...

The result has been the same. Barely make playoffs/ barely miss playoffs/ first rd elimination

Another year of "we did ___ well but got nowhere"

That's a no for me dawg
Read the comment again. I was not trying to indicate what you would think. I am concerned that Griff will not want to blow a 49 win team up in one offseason.

You can make an argument that Houston wouldn’t/shouldn’t trade Sengun straight up for Durant, even if Durant was 3 years younger than he is now.

But you are suggesting that they should/might trade Sengun, JSJ, 3, Whitmore, Green and only get an old Durant back to show for it, with Fred Vanfleet as his main running mate that remains in Houston. It’s just not plausible and/or comparable to Bridges going for 1-2 extra picks bc the Knicks have a hard on for Nova players.

Yeah no argument. I'm simply confirming that we can't trust that snake oil slut until after the fact.

This isn't directed at you, you're just the last person who posted in the thread.

For those who are putting together trades where CJ would come off of the bench, here are his comments about Klay's situation with Golden State:

quote:

"I think it may be time for both parties to look at other options. I think that's what they're doing right now," McCollum told "NBA Today" on ESPN. "You go from arguably the greatest run the game has ever seen — Klay was a huge part of that [with] his threes and defense, hitting big shots. To be treated the way he was treated this last year-and-a-half or so, I looked at it as disrespect from the outside looking in. I think he may have taken it that way as well."

It doesn't take much to warrant 3 in this draft

CJ didn’t win multiple chips and CJ isn’t paid the kind of money Klay has gotten.

Do you think he has that kind of introspection? Or, do you think he sees himself as a big part of the team moving in the right direction this past season?

If CJ is a smart enough guy to be head of the player’s association, I would hope he has some perspective.

"Hey CJ, we know you fricking crushed it last year and finished as one of the best 3pt shooters in the league, you're cool with going to the bench ya?"

CJ was one of the best three point shooters last year. He really doesn’t need the ball in his hands. I feel like he still is a solid starter if we move him to the 2 and herb to the 3.

The deal being discussed is #3 for Williams and #6, so it’s just a trade up 3 spots. He left that part out
