Yes, not the full $15mil, more like $11-13mil

I doubt we were spending that on anyone that would make a difference though.
This is not correct.

We are still under the tax.

Therefore, we have access to the Non-Taxpayer MLE.
You can see yourself out sir….

Should have known you would show up to a Star Trek thread clutching your pearls….
I’m sure that’s what they told teams that asked during the draft. So far, they haven’t been said to be actively shopping him though.

To be fair, Jake Madison did say he believes TM3 will be traded this offseason. What he goes for will give us more of an idea about where the team future is headed towards.
They have a big trade exception from the Randle trade, but it’s not enough to absorb Lamello.

I would imagine it would have to be Gobert and draft capital.
We can’t get a Center to save our lives without giving up 2 firsts…

DM5 really has been a game changer since his return.

You’re a good soldier….and I appreciate it.

If Jose was going to leave or price himself out of our reach, then it makes sense to get what you can get. 2 2nds seems right.

This….

Also, we need those 2nds to potentially move off of Poole and Murray’s contracts.
We are dangerously close to the tax line with this trade…I’m assuming we are going to make a couple more moves to help shed some salary for picks.

It's not what they intended, but I'd take the Mavs future, built around Flagg, over the Lakers

While I would agree for this year. Lebron is what is holding back the Lakers with Luka. I would prefer to build around Luka(sans Lebron), than I would Flagg. The Lakers can make some pretty decent upgrades once Lebron is out.

Or Portland drafting a random big after they just picked one last year.

Definitely going to shop Ayton

Reportedly, Bailey wants a place where he will start almost immediately and where he has a chance to be a focal point on offense

Well….that’s not here.

Has to be a smoke screen by his agent to get a team to move up for him….possibly trade up a spot or two where we are?…
Kevin probably gave them an ultimatum. Get me better players or trade me. Only problem is they can’t get better players because of their top loaded roster lol

Right but Barrett has multiple years left. His deal is not good at all.

We don’t need to take RJ back.

If Toronto is actually interested, then they want to win games.

They can take Ingram and Theis or JRE, and send the Pels Bruce Brown and Chris Boucher along with a First maybe more.

This keeps both teams out of the tax and keeps Toronto in roster compliance since they would have an extra roster spot open.

Now we could also do this deal by taking Olinyk back instead of Boucher. His money would still be on the books next year, but it would give us another option at the 5 who can space the court.
If we are getting a pick and expiring contracts back, then it’s worth it.

You would have to assume that Middleton would be going out in this trade.

I’m sure Wizards are looking for somewhere else for him to go though. He would most certainly opt in next year, since Wizards aren’t likely to extend him.
