Do you really think Taylor Sheridan has thought that far ahead ? I’m not sure he has. Last several episodes have been so disappointing and veer completely away from the initial episodes.
I honestly think that Taylor writes about 3 episodes ahead, and he and Paramount sit down to check the ratings after each episode to try and decide how many more they should write..
"We can squeeze another season and a half out of them, easy..."

If Fortner walks and gets the $6m per year that Sportrac has him projected for, could we get another compensatory pick? or do those not go out until the draft after you lose the player?

For those reasons, I thought the whole scene addressing this in the latest episode was unnecessary and out of place.
Well it's only necessary because it sets up the inevitable scene where Will and Mike are pinned down in a firefight between the good guys, Vecna, and SkyNet Lady's army, and they use that time to have Will tell Mike how much he loves him for 30 minutes
Amazing that this little town has produced:
Nancy - deadly from medium range with an automatic rifle
Erica - Smartest science kid in her science class -- even smarter than Dustin and the teacher. Probably a grandchild of one of the black science ladies who got us to the moon
Karen Wheeler - Wine bottle assassin.. MacGyver with an O2 tank and a commercial dryer
Robin - successful therapist and relationship counselor, also runs tech support and maintenance for a 50k watt radio tower.
Max and Holly - Upside-down tag team duo of Survivorman and Sherlock Holmes
11 - Future olympic high jump champion
This town is a hotbed of glass ceiling breakers!

But now he's one of, if not the worst of the group. He reads his lines in a monotone voice and his expressions are so wooden.
Every episode in Season 5 could be 15 minutes shorter if he spoke in a normal cadence instead of this drawn out over-acting bullshite
Reminds me of Stevie from Malcolm in the Middle

On top of that, you also make a good point about new characters while existing (and formerly prominent) ones take a back seat
Keep in mind that some of the "formerly prominent" characters have aged into very bad actors..
El's character still doing the single syllable just-learned-English from Papa thing comes off as just bad acting now that she's visibly a full grown adult on screen
Erica is a horrific actor whose sassy black girl shtick was humorous as a child.. now she just sounds like a Spirit Airlines ticket agent
The professional actors on the show are - unsurprisingly - putting down the best performances, and I imagine its because the writers know they can get more out of them than the others.
Also does anyone know if Linda Hamilton actually had to audition for her part? Or did the Duffers just Google "female actors in strong military roles" and Demi Moore wasn't available?
CBS thru Hulu was dogshit today (Lafayette).. the whole dropped out with less than a minute left in the game

Just wanted to point out -- the Chargers are using Penning exclusively as a 6th lineman in run packages and he is absolutely road grading people.....
If the price for that is a late round pick in 2027, thats a great get for the Chargers
If you take him in the 1st round thats pathetic

Thank Boise St for that I guess.
Boise State was the match that lit the fuse on this whole shite show...
Year after year going undefeated (or close to it), with some occasional quality wins.. Forcing the committee to justify bigger name teams with worse records being ahead of them to keep TV ratings up. It was because of Boise that the "Power 5" split got rolling, and created the perpetual spending machine that we currently have.
Should have been clear then that this show was about TV contracts and money, and not not about the untainted competition of amateur collegiate athletics
I wonder if this comes back to reduced drinking in younger adults...?
Most people who drink whiskey for taste arent going near the base version Jim Beam or Jack Daniels.. so your target audience is people who mix whiskey and RC Cola to get as bombed as possible, but with the rise in THC options, I bet it puts a dent in their typical customer base.
Luckily the FedGov just banned most of those competing products so the yutes will have to go back to getting fricked up on trash whiskey

Motivation only gets you so far in the modern NBA
Worst thing that happened in the Willie Green tenure was that comeback against the Clippers in the play-in..
That one "you gotta fight" sound bite gave him so much more slack and national praise than he deserved
That one game and that one situation had Willie convinced that Jonas -- probably our most consistent player -- needed to sit for Larry Nance every game in God knows how many winnable losses
They've been interacting with Borrego like this for what? 2 years?
The only player who didnt like Borrego was Ingram because he told him to stop dribbling the air out of the ball and to take more 3s

I will always believe KM and Loomis tanked the first half of the season with Rattler and some peculiar in-game decisions on purpose. I truly believe we'd be sitting at 8-9 wins right now if they'd tried to win from the start. If you're obsessed with draft position, you should thank them for all those early season Ls. Once you put in your QB of the future, though, the tanking has to stop.
Tanked on purpose? I doubt it..
But I think they were smart enough to not throw Shough out there against 8 playoff teams...
I'm betting we don't play 7/8 playoff teams in our first 10 games and then sell off anything of value at the trade deadline next year....

Will be interesting to see what we do tomorrow night. Likely no Herb to guard Mitchell, then a few days off before we play the Suns twice in a back to back
Wouldnt be surprised to see them punt tomorrow nights game

On pace for 100+ catches, 1200+ yards and at least 8 TDs.. thats a pretty damn good season. Just wish he was better at high-pointing some of those deep balls..
The other guy everyone wanted to replace (Juwan Johnson) is currently 4th in the NFL in yards and on pace for 80 and 800
