Trading Zion I get and I’m 100% behind.

Keeping Willie is just stupid, unless you’re just waiting a year for his contract to run out and he can lead you to another top pick next year

Not if his value is where everyone keep saying it is.

I'm all for trading him, but only for a haul. It's pretty dumb to trade him for next to nothing.

I agree.

I’d gauge his value and if someone offers enough, take it.

The mandate to trade him being made public through the press is going to depress his value, tho.

Dumars comes from the pre "haul" era. He comes from the player-for-player era.

Jason Kidd for Marbury, Iverson for Billups, etc.

Plus, with Loomis and company in perpetual win now mode, It would probably be some Zion for Kuminga or Anfernee Simons type nonsense.

Don’t know about keeping Coach Green, but getting picks and talent for Zion is by far its best option.

Good news is, you won't have to root very hard

The only reason I could see bringing in Dumars would be that his current experience with player discipline might help kick Zions arse into shape.

But if Zion isn't here, I don't understand the hire.

There is no way this will happen—

And if it does I'm really out for good.

The handful of games I watched this year were the games Zion came back.

If Ingram was the Cancer, then Zion is the AIDS

The only reason why Ingram had a tenuous relationship with the team was due to the long long rope they had with a very unserious Zion. Zion wasted Ingram’s prime.

I watched maybe 5 games this year. With all the injuries it just wasn’t worth my time. That being said for a small market team like the Pels to trade away Zion would be idiotic. He’s looking better and better conditioned like he’s finally maturing and we want to get rid of him while keeping Willie? Makes no sense. We couldn’t attract another player with half of Zion’s talent and star power to play for New Orleans so shipping him out when he looks to finally be ready to take that next step is a a terrible move.

When you realize their main goal isnt winning then these moves make a little more sense.

He really did. Had we traded Zion sooner we'd be in the playoffs these last few years plus this year as well. Griff would still have his job because the team he built were pretty much solid, Jonas, Alvarado, Dyson, Lance, Naji, Herb, Trey, CJ. Biggest mistake Griff made was not trading Zion because it eventually led to his firing and Zion being traded anyway.

Right? Ingram had injuries, but he was loved in the locker room and was never out of shape. Zion is out of shape more often than not and doesn't have a single true friend in the locker room.

Was it the baby mama drama after missing games for unexplained personal reasons that convinced you?

Shamit also said he thinks Gayle is just waiting to get the expansion check before she sells.
That check is rumored to be ~300 million that every team in the league will get when the NBA adds 2 more teams in the next 5-10 years.

Hopefully expansion comes soon and Todd Graves can come save the Pels.

If someone without ties to Louisiana buys the team I think they’re getting moved

Imo, Gayle isn't selling. Her estate will sell when she dies.
