I think the julie that saw her dad get killed by MIY was a future version of her. That means the julie from this episode didn’t actually see it happen at the point when she was sharing her escapades with her mom.
Something will happen to her to change her mind on story walking again.

I think the impersonation factor could be it but I don’t remember the MiY using a tooth before or during the time he changed into Sophie.
I just think it is something he does to remember his victims by similar to what some serial killers do, but I feel by keeping them it will cause his demise.
In a separate but related note, I was thinking how the town could return home through retrieving the children’s bones and dumping them into the lake of tears.
If the lake of tears brings them back to
life once their bones are dumped there, then I think their nightmares will disappear from this world. This is based off of the idea that people’s nightmares come to life when they die.
As more people get saved/resurrected, less nightmares would exist in this world .
Since the teeth the MiY collected are physical remains of the people who lived there before, then maybe the same concept of saving the children applies to them?

I dont think her plan completely failed. The whole goal for Sophie is to cause division within the group and that night was the catalyst for that to happen.
1. Everyone knows the talismans dont work on all the monsters and the false sense of safety is gone now. When that happens, society tends to fall apart and people dont think rationally and act up.
2. Boyd will reflect on how the monsters knew about the attack. Him asking about the MiY, leads me to believe he will eventually find out the MiY is among them and ratted out the plan. Based on his interrogation history with Elgin, I believe he’ll start questioning people at first and then the torture story will come out where people will either side with Boyd or against him with Henry leading the opposing faction.
So despite there being no fatalities from that night, the ball has started rolling on creating real division within the community.

This was the moment I got in a wreck with my brother in the passenger seat and a young pup in the backseat while visiting for the same brother’s graduation.
I got tboned directly into my driver side door by a jeep who ran a red light. Only damage sustained was my totaled vehicle and a concussion for me. Everyone else involved was safe.
Was a miracle of god to say the least.
