Yep

I only missed the Hawks game earlier in the season. Forgot where I was, but was doing family stuff and was going to get home late and watch, but somehow saw a score spoiler with the final score, so at that point it wasn't worth staying up late to watch a full game that I knew we'd lost.

This is really what I end up doing when the team is bad.

Right now I tend to watch the stats and analytics and pick and choose what game play to watch because I don’t enjoy seeing the team just play like crap and struggle.

I’m pretty much out on anything Gayle benson is involved in. These organizations were cursed when she was set up to inherit them

It's hard not to check out on this season, I don't know about checking out permanently. If nothing changes, yeah they will lose me. Last year felt different even during the historically bad start, this second half of the year has just been miserable.

I'm down but definitely won't check out on the season as long as we have a puncher's chance for a 10 seed.

For me, not an option. I just couldn't do it, I'll always be a fan...unfortunately

This team/organization is no different than any other in the league. There are going to be highs and lows. Nothing unprecedented has happened this year. We had a bad mix with a lot of injuries.

This isn't even the most disappointing team recently to me. The whole "Do it Big" group felt like it had higher expectations. Every year Davis was here practically seemed like a let down.

Bailing when they are losing seems cheap. You can't appreciate success without failure. But they are most likely never going to succeed at the highest level. Something like 6 teams have 90+% of the titles in NBA history. It's extremely top heavy..

Edit.. I was way off on this. The top 5 have 52 Championships. The other 25 teams have 24 Championships. Not as imbalanced as I thought. But still pretty bad.

I've stopped watching every game, but I still enjoy it. The frustrating up and down is part of it, but when refs are being lopsided or interject themselves too much, I've turned it off completely. It's become a hard product to watch when that occurs for any game.

Exactamundo...if fact, forget the "bad" part, that's what I constantly do...even if a team is GOOD. There's always ways to improve, providing of course...the Pels will only listen to my suggestions.

At the moment...my latest stroke of genius is the fact that our problem at the "5" can actually pretty much be solved internally with what we already have. I've been looking around for the next Brook Lopez or Al Horford to develope after somebody totally revamping their own game to fit today's NBA. (After about 7/8 yrs in the league playing their old style)

A careful analysis of his past stats should make it pretty clear that Nance, Jr COULD be about to morph into our own version of Lopez/Horford. Wish he had 2 more inches for better rim protection but beggars can't be choosers. Not to get too deep in the weeds here...but anybody looking at #s...could see that Nance could be very effective moving out to the 3-pt line for about 40-45% of his shots as he almost did a coupla years ago...throw in the option of using him as a "dedicated" corner 3-pt shooter (check those #s) & this gets EVEN more intriguing.

I won't go into what advantages this provides for Zion and the more freedom it gives Herb to move off that 3-pt line, (unless Herb actually becomes a decent 3-pt shooter) but let's just say they both would benefit greatly.

I’ll probably get obliterated for this but at this point I’d welcome it. Give me a final reason to make a clean break. I know as long as theyre in Louisiana I’ll follow because I love where I grew up but damn

Haven't watched a game in a few weeks and so glad I didn't. Won't watch anymore the rest of the year for sure. They need to give me something to cheer for and honestly, I am very close just giving up in general. Tired of this hope and how everything will be great to have it end in MAJOR disappointment. Every single year. You can call me a pussy if you want, but it gets fricking old for me. Sorry.

I didn't have high hopes coming out of the All Star Break and once we started out like shite that first week, I don't think I've watched a game all the way through since, partly because I had something to do and partly because I no longer had hope that I'd see some type of spark that would cause me to have some optimism that this thing could be turned around.

There are some games that I haven't watched at all in the last three weeks, and it's been a refreshing change of pace.

I really don't understand the people that seem to hate watch the Pels and actually post and engage more when things are bad. Seriously. WTF are you people doing with your lives that you would rather make angry posts on an anonymous message board than pretty much anything else?

And for the record, I'm not saying this about all negative posts. Fun can be had with bad teams by problem solving and playing arm chair GM.

Yeah I was going to say being negative/critical is much more acceptable for team building instead of product on the field/court.

I don't even post on here much anymore b/c we suck and it's a terrible product to watch. Doesn't need to be repeated.

I do hope we make the playoffs b/c I'll watch then.

I am still watching, but I often have to leave the sound off. It's been really hard to be a fan lately.

I really wonder what all of Zion’s sponsors think? Like his duke year is 4 years ago and he’s barely played in the nba. His star must be fading as kids can never watch him play. I wonder if he’ll start losing endorsements due to his injuries.

He lost Rose Rule money too by not playing. He’s probably All NBA 1st team if he plays 65 games or more.

What's unfortunate about this is that Zion's stardom is still very much rooted in being the "next" guy, and that takes a big hit each year that a new "next" guy enters the league.

If you asked a kid to name 20 NBA players right now, I doubt a lot of them think of Zion.

I'm not as checked in as I was two months ago but part of the enjoyment of winning is remembering the lows and growing pains. At least, that's what I learned as a Saints and Cubs fan before their championships.

I’ll be honest. Been a fan for basically 20 years. I completely checked out 4-6 weeks ago. Somewhere in the middle of that initial 10 game losing streak.
It’s a bit freeing. Not to say, I still don’t tune in occasionally and get frustrated and/or happy on the good nights (Trey Murphy 41)
But I have decided on the whole that is team’s success will not materially impact my overall level of happiness.

We have a lot of passionate fans, including myself that have poured both our hearts and pocketbooks out for the team, for little to no return.
I’m not 100% sure the moment I realized it, but at a certain point this season. I realized a good portion of the players don’t seem to care about winning and actually changing the narrative in New Orleans more than the average fan of the team does. After I realized that, I pretty much detached from the situation and only watch the games if they are a part of my nba parlays.

I quit the saints last season. And I’m still out as long as Dennis allen is allowed to duck up the team.

I’m 3/4 out on the Pels.
