You know the meme in movies where characters go through intense drama/danger and come out better once they face it?

Horror movies are like that on a much lesser scale.

Imagine being a person who can't get scared from almost any horror movie but still seeks out one to do it. That's me. Hell, I even get really manipulative when I think I have a good option and I watch in pitch dark with headphones on (this REALLY messes with your head b/c you can't sense reality around you and it makes you vulnerable).

Does she have children? If so nothing scarier to a mom (or dad for that matter) than children in peril and you’re helpless to help them.

You want classic or more modern?

Modern choice is probably The Descent IMHO.

Older choice? Halloween or The Exorcist.

You got that right. There is this episode of Louie (the Louis CK show) where he is on the subway with his two kids and one steps off the train just as the door is closing and he can't get to her. I had to stop the show and breathe for a minute before continuing.

I would stick to more modern horror since its not as grainy and doesnt seem as "real"

It follows
Babadook
Hereditary
IT
Ready or Not
Freaky
Autopsy of Jane Doe
Cabin in the Woods
Drag me to Hell

Start with classics like Jeepers Creepers or Pumpkinhead for some corny scary fun. Follow up with the original Texas chainsaw massacre, to measure her tolerance for violence and gore, then move on to the exorcist and Nightmare on Elm street to establish her mental ability to tolerate phycological terror. By then you will know if she likes horror movies and can go deeper in whatever direction she likes. If you go too hard and dark out of the gate she will most likely think you are mentally ill and a possible serial killer, or it may be her fetish and damningly take you down a dark and glorious path.

The Exorcist
That would be it for me, but I'm not watching it with her.

The Omen 1976 is another one I found to be disturbing.

Event Horizon is another one that I can't watch at night.

You trying to draw someone in or scare the shite out of them permanently?

Event Horizon is a lot of fun but just gruesome as hell. Not just the blood and gore but thinks like decompression and being burned alive too.

The Human Centipede.

And when she looks in your direction when the movie is over, you do this:

One of the most overrated movies. Nothing romantic about dying on a sinking ship.

Angelheart with Mickey Rourke, Robert De Niro, and Lisa Bonet. She is as hot in this movie as any actress has ever been in anything.
