Dave is bad

Time will tell. Remember Clone Wars was done before Kennedy got involved. SW Rebels she was not involved in nor the new Maul series. All three series he created. Maybe animation is better for him who knows.

All the live action shows he is involved in she was the producer. It could be her influence is just that bad when she is involved.

Without Filoni Ashoka and Thrawn would have never been brought into Canon.

Her downfall with SW was her arrogance. She believed she could do what Lucas did. Combine that with her insistence of making SW woke killed the franchise.

All she, Disney, or anyone had to do was use what had been created by third parties for the two decades after the original trilogy as the franchise would be pumping out great material for the next century. The moment she declared what was canon and only canon would be used, Star Wars died for the most part.
Just watched and Filoni has created another great series

I always thought Maul was a good character with more to explore.

He has a great arc to follow. I hope someday they can put it all together but not sure if this series will make it to Solo and if it does they will miss a lot.

His cameo happens 10 years from where this show has started and his ending in Rebels is 17 years away.

Not gonna lie DeBoer seems different this spring. It seems like he has more confidence and is excited about this group. These are all his guys now who want to play for him and not half Saban guys anymore

I actually got to meet one of the coaches while UA was on spring break a few weeks ago. His son runs relays on the track team with mine. The overall feeling with the staff is they are very excited about what they were able to bring in and going into the fall. Seems to be a very good vibe in the locker room and with the staff.

UNC almost exclusively in the past has hired alum.

The last three coaches Doherty, Williams, and Davis have been the only three coaches in the last 100 years that are alum from UNC. The 8 or 9 before that including D Smith who was there for 36 years were not alum.
Not sure to be honest but probably due to time constraints as he wanted to keep on the one ring. The book ended added another layer in a way that extended past the one ring.
The only thing I wish was in the movies was the actual book ending with the retaking of the Shire and how Saruman died in the Shire.
Not sure what the measure is but NC is one of the top 10 fastest growing states in the country and expected at current growth to be ranked 7th in the US. Problem it is all concentrated in specific areas with a large portion of the state declining and struggling.

And special ed kids who's families need the resources government schools provide. This is the only area where public schools currently have an advantage over other facilities imo. Private facilities simply can't compete with those resources for children with special needs.

Yes to an extent but there isn't enough funding to provide the services needed. Why the private sector in services has grown so rapidly. Many systems share specialists who have to cover multiple schools and even in those settings they are doing the bare minimum just to maintain what little funding they receive.

coupled with teaching to the lowest common denominator.

Which is what I said. The concern in public education is that schools/systems chase numbers. They focus is on padding numbers due to public schools being micromanaged at both the state and federal level. Schools use numbers as a measure which is tied to funding. If they do not meet those numbers their funding can be jeopardized. Even more important for Title III schools. So, the focus is no longer on learning but boosting numbers at every level.

It is also not as much about selective discipline as it is lack of. Schools are so worried about numbers behavior goes unchecked. When public school systems require teachers to give every student a minimum of a 50 on their first report card each semester whether they did work or not, waive attendance policy, and EOCs only become window dressing it creates a huge vacuum.

In NC public schools are seeing a decline in enrollment. Which raises questions as state population continues to increase especially with families moving in. Charter, private, and home schools are on the rise cross the country and for good reason.

ND no longer carries the clout they once did. We saw that this year when they were snubbed from the playoffs. Also with so many streaming platforms NBC no longer has the leverage it once did. ND was able to sit at the table when the big 3 controlled CFB on TV. The previous relationship with ND and NBC is losing its luster and will continue to do so now that ND is heading down a path where conferences are going to stop scheduling them and the ratings will continue to drop as they are currently doing.

ND will end up in a conference or become another G6 team looking for games.

Do you know what a good OC is?

The same OC who had his team the championship game 2024, that developed so many talents, whom Saban tried to pry to Alabama...

Isn't a good OC.

I agree here with you but what do you expect with so many spoiled fans and unrealistic expectations post Saban.

I am not sure how good Grubb is and could care less what he did in the NFL. What I do know is that Grubb's success at Washington depended on having a great OL and a solid running game. In 2023 UW ran for 40% of their plays and over 40% of their production came from the run. They also had the top OL in the country. This past year Alabama OL was bad, and we did not have any solid RBs. So, we bring in an OC whose offense depends on solid OL play and requires an RB to get positive yards into a program that he inherits neither and all of the sudden he is the worst OC out there.

Some of these fans are beyond talking with as they only want to see things a certain way. As bad is this was in so many areas still made the playoffs, but it is what it is.

I was naming the movie the quote sounded close to from when Jack Nicholson was asked about writing women.

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: I think of a man. And I take away reason and accountability.
Angry little barn troll

Sorry as I thought you already knew about your husband and mother

Nice deflection by the way

Sorry I thought this was about basketball or because your attempt to troll was weak you had to stretch the variables to fit your narrative.

By the Alabama did not cheat only did what the courts allowed them to do. Now what your husband did with your mother is cheating.
It is reported about 10 deaths a year around the world from free soloing. I mean you can not afford to make a mistake since your are not attached to anything. A well known climber died in Linville Gorge here about 6 years ago bouldering and dropped from about 80 feet.

Two of my kids are big into bouldering and do ropes as well. My younger only does sport climbing and the older is now learning to trad climb. But still they prefer to boulder over ropes if given a choice.

It’s only about 50 million per year, it’s not a huge price to pay considering ND basically owns the Chicago market.

Their rating continues to drop so the brand value is not what it once was.

Also watch as the P4 conferences insist they join a conference or will not be scheduled to play ND. That was already going around in the last month when the playoffs were selected, and this came. ADs and HC were already talking about not scheduling ND going forward.

Eventually NBC will have to make a decision. Either keep paying for ND to play G6 teams or look to break off.

Has Spent 2+ Months

LSU fans have spent 2+ months desperately seeking validation hoping for a seat at the table once again. I know some of you are just trolling but the insecurity of your fanbase is beyond bizarre. I want to have empathy but hard to so with the circle jerk of desperate tiger fans.

I hope he can rebuild your program as many of you want but this place will be a sad place if that does not come to fruition.

I think this is not as necessary now in Alabama, but I think it will be in the future. You can sort of sense that the political trade winds are trending towards a movement that ultimately results in a redirection of tax revenue from public education towards private institutions.

In NC public schools have seen a decline in enrollment over the last decade even with large population growth. Most of the decline here is due to homeschooling. Chapel Hill schools has seen an 8% drop over the last few years. The more recent issues are the state is issuing vouchers to families to attend private schools now based on income and more public charter schools are popping up.

As long as public education continues to be micromanaged with the focus chasing numbers and not learning the decline in public schools will continue to enrollment decline.
