LSU signee Major Osbolt announced on social media that he has committed to North Carolina instead of joining Jay Johnson's program in Baton Rouge.

Osbolt, a 6'4 right-handed pitcher out of JUCO power Walters State (Morristown, TN), had been committed to LSU since November.

I'm tired of reading comments criticizing these young men who are being moved because of roster limits. These are guys who have committed to playing the game, doing their best, and not quite being what the team needs. So they have to sign with another team who needs them.

This isn't a player who decommits because they are offered more money by another school.

Good luck to this young man.

This is a great decision for both Major Osbolt and LSU. He gets to go to another great program and LSU, and Jay Johnson, gets within their Roster limit! May need to make room for another, if Jay can entice Schmidt to come to LSU!?!

This have anything to do with Schmidt's decision?

He was told by LSU to find another school to sign with. He was not scared to compete, but don't let that stop you from spewing ignorant nonsense.

If you have no idea about the situation, maybe don't comment on it.
