Think I made another post saying after a while it grew on me
I listened to the first 8 or so tracks and got bored and switched to something else. The first track on the album is awesome. I like Emergence as well. I just find them good in small doses, but I can't just sit there and listen to them. The music gets so boring. I can't get into it.

I really don't understand the hate for Lost Key, there are some fun holes on the course. There are some tough ones that eat you ball if you aren't straight but we play it every time we're in the area.

I agree and it's always in good shape.
Don’t sleep on shell landing either…. Great course

As others have said. The Farm and the Wetlands are the best in the area. Both are great courses. It’s been a few years since I’ve played the wetlands because it’s tough to get a good tee time. The farm can be tough but if you play it right it’s not that bad. There are some tight par 4’s that you won’t want to hit driver on. If you can fade and draw the ball off the tee there’s a lot of holes with trouble on one side but a lot of room on the other. Greens are fast and roll true. It’s in really good shape. The wetlands is a bit longer and a little tighter on the fairways from what I remember.

This assessment is actually spot on

Dude whatever you do, please don't play at Vieux Chenes. It is a complete dump. It's the cheapest option in town so it's full of people that don't play golf and its slow AF, not to mention a goat ranch.

The Farm is your best option --- it's a good course and usually not hard to get a tee time.

The Wetlands is a great course too, but it's nearly impossible to get any kind of decent tee time. They block off premium times for "regulars" --- its not advertised but well known. I will call right at 7:00 AM when they open to get a time for a Sunday morning and I always get "sorry earliest we have is 10:30" --- lol really you booked 3.5 hours of tee times in less than 3 minutes? ok
Damn that looks f**king awesome!!

Alice In Chains unplugged is one of the best albums ever made; live or otherwise

100%!

I do like Caramel on first listen --- which means I'll probably hate it later
Yep Lafayette - I can transfer the tickets to you electronically, and mail the parking pass (it was mailed to me)

Grounds passes are worth $0.. may get something for the parking pass

Actually they are worth $45 at face value… but you’re right, the PGA tour doesn’t need anymore money, all tickets are free now
Hey guys, I bought 2 ground passes and 1 Lapalco sponsor lot parking pass for the Friday round at the Zurich Classic. I am no longer able to go, so I am wanting to sell them. Paid $150 for all 3, I'll take $100.

Interested, send me an email --- eyeofthetigertd at gmail

re: Best golf shot of your life?

This one is easy. It happened last year so it's still fresh in my mind :dude:

Evangeline Four Ball at OCC last year, second round. My partner and I were around the middle of the pack but we were close to the top 3 in our flight. Everyone was separated by only a few shots.

We come up to #9 (par 3 over water if you've never played it, extremely difficult hole). My partner goes first, comes up short in the water (his shot is the red line). I come up next, hit a pretty good shot but it's tailing right just a little. Lands on the green on the bottom right side, but bounces right and falls into the water. (yellow line)

Now because my partner didn't land on anything, he has to go to the drop zone. I drive up to the green to ask one of the assistant pros (Jason) what the ruling is for mine. He said I can take a drop across the water on the other side directly in line with where it entered. So he takes me to a spot under the trees where there is some grass, watches me drop it, says its' good and it's in play. He stands behind me to watch me hit.

I hit a beautiful little mid flighted lob wedge, it lands on the right side of the green a little above pin high and starts rolling left (blue line). Jason immediately says "you just made it." I'm watching it roll all the way across the green, it drops perfectly against the flagstick and in the hole. There were about 20 competitors from the championship flight that already played eating/drinking at the turn house watching, and everyone started yelling and cheering. I threw my club down and just yelled "LETS frickING GOOOOOO" as loud as I could  I see my partner standing by the green just laughing at me.

Saved the par and ended up finishing 2nd in our flight. We were staring at a double bogey or worse, easily.

The adrenaline rush was insane. Never felt so hyped up in my life.

Forgot to mention, I also like the show "The Royals" on E network with Elizabeth Hurley. That show was chock full of hot British chicks.

Best: Rage Against the Machine, Voodoo Fest NOLA, 2007. Never been a part of something like that before or since. One of the best nights of my life.

Worst: man I hate to say this... but it was probably Metallica in 2023 at AT&T Stadium. There was a post in this thread earlier that nailed it... they are still awesome and can still play, but the big stadium show sucks. The sound is awful and there is just too much going on. Wish I could see them in a small venue.

Pleasantly Surprised: Cypress Hill, Voodoo Fest 2003. Went to see A Perfect Circle and The White Stripes, and Cypress Hill was one of the earlier acts on that stage. They brought the house down and were a ton of fun.
PW is my 140 club. Loft is 45*. I'm a 9.1 HC right now, low HI 7.3.
Indian Hills Country Club in Opelousas, LA

To call that place a country club is an insult to countries and clubs

I think it's closed now... played a charity scramble there years ago and it was an absolute piece of shite. Basically someone built a few dirt hills on a pasture and called them "greens" and they were all the same shape
