He triggered a certain sect of the population by saying masks were a good idea during the pandemic so now they think he is a pedophile.

I watched that as a kid and liked it. Rewatched it as an adult recently and liked it even more. Really an underrated gem.

The q people think any actor who isn’t Kirk Cameron is a baby eater

All they have left to watch now is the left behind series and monster trucks. Sad.

Although for controversy, The Terminal is easily in my top 5

FYI - it’s Cast Away.

All great answers so far. Forrest Gump or Green Mile are 1A and 1B for me. Might I throw in a dark horse candidate: Road to Perdition? Very solid film.

Hanks "Iconic" roles are hard to choose but Bachelor Party the most fun to watch..

The "Nick The Dick" scene was hilarious

He seems like a smug Hollywood a-hole to me but so does just about every star. I would go with Road To Perdition and Saving Private Ryan.

I've always liked "Road To Perdition" as it shows him in a darker role and he pulls it off well.

He has had a great film career with many excellent parts.

I could actually think of several on equal footing as some of his best.
