So many it is hard to decide but I would still have to go with Forrest Gump.

So many it is hard to decide, but definitely not Forrest Gump.
Saving Private Ryan... by a slight margin over The Green Mile.

Not ashamed to say Forrest Gump. It's a great movie and an incredible performance.

Castaway. He carries a movie that could be super boring in the wrong hands.

Even when he comes back to civilization there's not a whole lot of conversation and it still has some really powerful moments.

I agree and a little off topic but this reminds me of Robert Redford's performance in a movie called All is Lost. He's the only character in the whole movie and he manages to pull it off fairly well. With a lesser actor that movie could have sucked badly.
I believe Hanks could probably pull something like that off, in fact he kind of did in Castaway

Don't know. He has so many but I refuse to watch him now.
It's a shame.

Joe vs. the Volcano. People either love or hate it, but it's such a masterpiece of modern alienation and surrealism.
Plus, it has one of the best "take this job and shove it" scenes in movie history.
