I’m probably going to be in the minority in this one but I don’t care.

It was good. This is not a family movie. This is legit horror. It’s dark and it takes itself seriously. It used very little cgi which is imperative in most horror movies. It manages to keep a low budget, horror feel. I went into this expecting scooby doo and got a legit horror movie.

Probably why critics hate it. But I like it. It’s a perfect kids intro into horror. 7/10

Just got back with my 11 yr old. He loved it. Honestly the other movie previews were scarier. This was a little more violent than goosebumps but the violence he has seen before.

Same. My 8yo caught every single reference lol.

My wife was looking at him like he was a space alien. Don't think she realized how much enjoys Freddie.

It's not too scary and the theater was a mix of parents with kids and teens with their friends.

I saw that it opened the weekend with over $130 mil globally, so you can count on a sequel. Not bad for a $20 mil budget.

I think you meant “can”.

My daughter saw it with friends tonight and came home super excited to tell us about it. Guess I'm going to pay for a month of Peacock so I can watch it.

I went in completely blind and assumed Willy's Wonderland with more dialogue. It was okay, not what I expected. It was frustrating how much of the movie could have been solved with basic communication skills, but I guess that's most horror movies.

So I saw a video that basically said similar to what you said. The creator of Five Nights donates money to Trump and other Republicans so reviewers are trying to bomb it in hopes that it would flop.

I'm today's political climate, I can see that. Because it feels really weird to have such a huge gap between critical and audience scores.

Blumhouse just prints money. They spent way more than typical on this movie, but they are still going to see a massive return.

if they seriously open a fazbear franchise in a few cities they'll be printing money. of course with chuckecheese being basically in the gutter these days they'd have to come up with some changes to that business model.

I just streamed this tonight because NBC was promoting it so heavily over the weekend. I didn't even realize it was a video game series until the opening credits.

I legit enjoyed a lot of it. There were some decently creepy parts, the gore was minimal, and the story was coherent enough for me having no background knowledge.

As was mentioned, there wasn't much CGI, and the animatronics were all Jim Henson Creature Shop puppets, which helped the buy-in factor. I think it's worth a watch.

Beyond that, he voted to non establishment democrats and a black woman running in Baltimore.

His Reddit post is a pretty humble and somber take on politics and culture.

It’s why we can’t have nice things.

Five Nights at Freddy's is extremely popular among kids.

My 9 yo niece lives FNaF on YouTube. She hasn’t mentioned watching the movie. So, we’re not bringing it up.

Watched it last night on Peacock. I liked it as a one time viewing and would watch a sequel but streaming only.
It’s a fun movie with a few jump scares but not scary as a whole. The movie is predictable. The Vanessa character’s acting was bad but tolerable.

The ad campaign was effective it seems. I thought I was seeing tv commercial ads every hour or so.
