Went with a big cloud like couch that Costco was selling a couple of years ago. Initially wanted theater seating but the wife wanted something she could lay on.
There isn’t an uncomfortable spot on this couch.
I found that the 2nd one is easier to raise because I have all this experience now. The hard part taking time for each individual kid, your wife and yourself.

In public, I have to know keep eyes on two kids. That can be stressful.

As they’ve gotten older, it’s been easier.

For reference, my kids are 2 years apart.

I’m fairly confident he’s doing this as a favor. He’s a good man that has helped a lot of people. He’s been a contractor for 40+ years. I’m pretty sure he just like staying busy.

Thanks. I’m going to add in a fee but wanted to be in line with pricing for his service.

I had a budget for this build and I believe he waived his fee to keep the quote under it.

For a past project, he did some of the labor himself, which resulted in his price. This project, he doesn’t plan on any labor from himself so he basically offered access to his subs and material pricing along with project management.

For comparison, I was quoted on a tuff shed for the same size at $400 more than him. The tuff shed did not include electrical, which will have 150ft trench dug up for the run. It also didn’t include installation and finishes inside.

Yes. I’ve worked with him before and I pay the lumber yard and the subs directly.

What to pay contractor

I’m building a detached 12x16 building. I contacted a contractor, who quoted me $14,000. His quote does not include a contractor fee. When I asked about it, he said he wasn’t charging a fee

So he is building at cost of materials and sub-contractors labor.

I’ve worked with him in past. Great guy. Honest to the bone, so I know there aren’t baked in extra costs.

I’m going to pay him for his time and resources because he took time to coordinate subs and materials.

What would be a good rate to pay him? I’m thinking 20% of the job.

Went to Quebebeaux’s. Food was good. Service was lousy. Originally went to Buckets but the wait was an hour and couldn’t pull that with two hungry kids.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Tomorrow we’re meeting friends at Spirits for lunch.

Where to eat in Pineville?

Will be in Pineville Friday. Where to eat for dinner? Family of four with a 6 and 4 year old?

My beagle definitely knows what times lunch and dinner are served. If I miss it by a few minutes, I get stare downed until I get up and fill up her bowl.
Choked on a piece of butterscotch when I was 6 while riding in a car.
My mom was able to dislodge it. I didn’t eat butterscotch again until I was in my 20’s.

Not tonight. Just the original. I have a couple of store pick barrel strengths sitting on the shelf.

Blantons then Four Roses Single Barrel
Switched to Visible last month from Verizon. Haven’t noticed a difference in service. Was paying $170 for 2 lines, now paying $70.
My wife’s father passed away our first year of marriage.

While she was getting Halloween decorations out, a Halloween themed snow globe fell and broke. This was a globe that her father had gotten her when she was very young and he displayed it every year. She was heart broken.

The following week I searched online and found a shop in Tennessee that repairs snow globes. Spoke to someone from the business and shipped the broken globe. I received the globe and the repair looked great.

She opened the gift on Christmas. She couldn’t believe her eyes and cried for a little while.

She lets me know every year that this gift is the best one ever.

I will never be able to top this.
Video states that she had a domestic violence charge just a couple of weeks prior. The kicker here, she is a teachers aid for a public school. The school accepted her resignation.

She call the special needs kid a POS but she is the real POS.
