Those are boomer movies

To legally see American pie you’d have to be 18 in 1999 meaning you were born in 1981 which makes you a boomer not a millenial

Yes it is. Gen X ends w/Carter. Always has. The next generation is called Millennials b/c they came of age during the turn of the millennium. People who graduated high school in 2000 are part of the millennial generation.
Nah. Gen Z started in 97/98 (and we are already halfway through Gen Alpha, which started in 2013!)

Not a surprise. Gen Z is the absolute worst generation in the history of mankind. Absolutely useless:

Blaming kids for the failings of the folks that raised them is weak.

If a bunch of 16-18 year-olds aren't up to snuff, look to the parents. Why did Gen X fail to raise them?

We're not talking about adults that have had enough time away from those that raised them to remove parental responsibility - frick, it even includes a 16 year-old in the quotes. You know that person still lives at home.

Each generation wants to be lauded as the "best" but then foists all their complaints on the next one before they've even left for college, much less a career and family.

Um, no. Baby Boomers were born during the Baby Boom that immediately proceeded WWII, up into the 50s. Gen X are people born between 1965-1980.

Rube goldberg made drawings of unreasonably complicated devices designed to solve simple problems.

In the American Pie movies, they would often set up these crazy situations of cascading failures and coincidences that resulted in “oops, his dad saw him naked!” Or “oops, he accidentally drank pee!” It was all about setting up an elaborate sight gag that required a bunch of really weird and random things to go wrong precisely in the right way to embarrass the main character and cause the audience to cringe.

Not a fan of “make you cringe” style comedy. It’s why I don’t like “The Office” as much of the humor is predicated on making the audience feel uncomfortable and embarrassed for the characters.

Superbad is probably one of the GOAT high school movies and that came out in 2007

There are obviously a few exceptions, and Superbad is one of them. Mean Girls. A few others.

But the 1980s was the Golden Age.

Do I think it’s smart? Not really.

Referring to people as trashy? You sound like a condescending know it all.

Here's the thing, Boomers are 46-64, Gen X started in '65 so going by normal timelines Gen X would go through '82 or '83.

You think the generation that was mostly born in the mid-80's gave birth to the generation born in the early 2000's?

i was born in 83 and had a kid january of 2007. so not entirely far off.

Most of your generation wasn't having babies at 24. My son is 87 and most of his friend's kids are in elementary school and preschool. They are still having babies.

Not boomers but American Pie is definitely an older film.

American Pie came out closer to when my parents were teenagers, not exactly a 'young' film.

It's hard to relate to how desperate those 18-year-olds are when you have dating apps and ubiquitous access to sexual pornography.

Agreed. They weren’t.

I did and am glad I did. Again going to be 44 with kids out of the house.

My parents had me at 26 and 25.

I'm in the generation born in the early 2000s.
