re: Thomas Sowell drops a truth bomb on academia - AggieHank86
The guy is HIGHLY intelligent. Makes me mad that he's not more recognized throughout academia and talked about more in regular, everyday political conversations in general.
I really like Sowell, but most of his writing on social issues is not really "academic," but rather direc...

Meh. Trump was a player before anyone had ever heard of any of those folks except Don King and Ozzy. I don't think Don King or Ozzy got Trump elected POTUS....

I am no fan of labor unions, but is there any American State where unions are illegal? There are plenty ogf States where you cannot be FORCED to join one. ...

early, in-person voting.
I'm opposed to it, if the counting isn't done in the same day as the general electin.
In my opinion, they should be counted starting first thing in the morning on the day of regular voting, with no results released until one minute after the poll...

re: Supreme Court to debate voting rights case that advocates worry will limit access to polls - AggieHank86
Stamps are extremely rare and hard to come across. Valid point.
this question is case specific. If these people could not get out to go and mail their ballot, they could also not go out and get a stamp. In this case, again, however it would appear that Arizona provides postage paid en...

re: Supreme Court to debate voting rights case that advocates worry will limit access to polls - AggieHank86
Sorry, Eduardo, but "chain of custody" is rather important with ballots. The USPS does not really have any incentive to jack with mailed ballots, but "voting advocacy groups" (Left OR Right) usually have EVERY incentive to do so. I gotta say "comply with the law."...
BiteMe2020
Back in the day, TAMU had plenty of tax courses, too, but only one was a mandatory course for all Business majors (I did a double major in Accounting & Finance). All the other tax classes were attended mostly by people who had chosen to focus upon Tax Accounting as a career...
