Exactly. Your parents were not millennials. They were Gen X. Most people your age do not have millennial parents.

I was born in 1973, so squarely Gen Xer, and believe I have a unique perspective on these generational issues as I have a 20 year old, 8 year old, and 6 year old.

I coached my 20 year old boy in a lot of his sports so really got to know his friends that age and their parents. The kids quoted in that article are not even close to being like them. Those kids act a lot like their Gen X parents.

Now I coach my 6 year olds hockey team and holy crap, the difference in the parents now vs. the parents the first go round with my 20 year old is night and day. Now I'm dealing with Millennial parents and they are the freaking worst. The Gen X parents were pretty chill and kept things in perspective. Was their some helicopter parenting going on? For sure. But these Millennial parents aren't helicopters, they're bulldozers. They will run over everybody and everyone to pave the path for their kid.

America will end with Gen Z. Too weak, stupid and naive to continue on.

They were both funny but not that great. I give AP credit for bringing MILF to the modern era. Until then, people were riding Mrs Robinson's coattails.

Or, and this may blow your mind, comedy is situational and largely influenced by the shock of initial viewing. Comedy is generational for this reason and it's hard to appreciate comedies outside of your era (unless they're an elite film). This effect is amplified when you're dealing with a comedy targeted at you specifically that you can relate to (like a teen comedy released when you're a teen)

I am not a fan of the 90's because it simply ended the 80's. I will give credit where credit is do though. SNL was rocking in the 90's and it was at it's absolute best.

Movies and music were really hit or miss and rock and roll ended because no one knew how to recover from depressing grunge. A few bands like Metallica made it out of the whole Seattle scene. People looked ridiculous when it made it's way to Louisiana. Dudes wearing flannel and shite for half a decade was worse than today's hoodie addiction.

I credit the 90's with Seinfeld and a few other legendary series and there were several good movies but overall it was super disappointing compared to the 80's.

Its cause they are a bunch of pussies. 90s teens were raise by hard nose and tough 70 and 80s parents.
