You think the generation that was mostly born in the mid-80's gave birth to the generation born in the early 2000's?

To be fair those movies did suck.
Signed, Gen X.

Yeah human existence for its entire history until internet porn.
i was a very jesusy kid growing up and waited till marriage for sex. got along very well with any of my girlfriend's parents.
as wholesome as my behavior was, i definitely wanted to bang all their daughters. acting like a 15-20 yo kid has the concept of a "loving relationship with somebody they respect" is laughable.
i have two teenage boys that are both (mostly) well behaved and i'm keen to the fact they like the female form. doing my best to steer them away from most overt sexual stuff, because they are a pile of idiots and have no idea what to do with their sexuality or what "a loving relationship with somebody they respect" is even though they see it lived out with their mom and i. my oldest has had a girlfriend for 4 years. her dad and i have had numerous talks because he's well aware my son is a stupid horny teenager.

1) Gen Zers are fricking stupid and their opinions are awful. "It’s bordering on incel attitudes the way the guys in this film think that they deserve sex, and how they seem to think that’s all women are good for rather than wanting a loving relationship with somebody they respect. I think if you were a teenage boy watching this you’d basically feel entitled to behave however you wanted to towards women.” shite like this is ridiculous and is omeone wanting to appear super intelligent when in reality it's jsut a raunchy fun teen comedy, it's not meant ot be serious.
2) Having said all that, i'm not really surprised that some of these movies don't land. And for reference I graduated high school in 2004 so most of htese movies are aimed direclty square at my age demographic (or were, when they came out I mean).Despite loving the shite out of American pie, bring it on, and eurotrip when they cme out, I can definitely acknowledge that someone watching now for the first time might think "meh". all those movies have a definite "early 2000s" vibe to them. Liek when I was in high school during that time, I'ms ure many of my peers would look at the teen comedies of the 80s and think "meh".

What do “gen z’ers” laugh at?
Whatever it is, it can only be shown in ten second clips… with those attention spans, there’s no way they can watch an hour and a half movie.

This review just makes me want to rewatch Eurotrip immediately when I get home from work.

The frick? I’m one of the oldest millennials at 42. Our oldest kids are like 12-14 for the most part unless you’re just trashy.

About Clueless:
OMG. (Sigh) Unsurprisingly, schools are not teaching kids about character arcs. The whole point of her character is that she lives in a bubble and is a product of it.
Did she also miss Tai’s comeback “You’re a virgin who can’t drive.”? I guess it’s ok for Tai to insult Cher.
Clearly, they don’t know the source material is Jane Austin’s Emma.
I hate to tell her that rich girls do not marry poor men. None of the girls “marry down” in the film.

honestly I find Cher kind of annoying. I don’t like how superior she is, and how she low-key insults Tai’s accent and vocabulary because she’s not posh and rich

Here’s a strike against Millennials
Posted on 2/3/23 at 9:59 am to Tigertown in ATL
What do you mean?
If I’m at the very old end of millennial spectrum and had kids in my late 20s they’d be about 14 right now.
For a lot of the millennial generation they would’ve had to have kids in their very early 20s or even teens for them to be close in age to those kids mentioned in the OP. Not sure how that’s a strike against anyone unless you think it’s smart to have kids at 20ish.

I was asking it as a question. I didn't type it correctly. My fault there.

Not even true at all.
Millennials were raised by boomers. Z is raised by the first generation of helicopter parents - Gen x.
Own it.
Yeah that was a swing and a miss by me.
Probably b/c I am Gen X(born in '81) and didn't become a parent until 2015 so me and the wife(born in '80) are raising the generation after Gen Z.
