Maybe. And with inside Out 2 doing so poorly, and with no one being excited at all for either Deadpool & Wolverine or Moana 2, Disney must be on their last legs.
It does seem like CA and Blade could be the end of the preferred Feige style of marvel orchestration. The system is built for multiple rewrites, figuring out the ending while you're shooting, and then doing waves of reshoots to patch everything together. Combined with covid delays, that's led to budgets like this one and The Marvels (and Deadpool, though it obviously doesn't attract the same kind of negative press). The system only works if these are guaranteed $750 million-1 billion. That's obviously not the case anymore. Maybe this is why Blade keeps churning through scripts and directors. Maybe they're trying to get everything right before they film for the first time in 15 years.

It only seems that way if you’re an investor.
Otherwise everything is great.
Total maroon.

Look I cheer against Disney as much as the next guy but this simply isn't true. They're going to hit over 200 million domestically on opening weekend, more impressive since it's rated R.
The new Cap is going to flop hard. I've already decided to skip it because at this point I don't feel the need to see every Marvel movie in theaters and I hate the idea they replaced Cap so quickly.
I'm eager for this phase to end so they can do a hard reboot, which is obviously what they're planning after Secret Wars. Just have a great reset and stop cramming so many characters most viewers don't care about down our throats.

He was being sarcastic. He was mocking people criticizing disney even though people are not saying all of the movies are going to flop only some of them

Sarcasm doesn't carry over well on the interwebz. I thought he was serious. Everyone I know is hyped for this movie.

Bumping this because they are doing more reshoots next week. Probably up to $400 million now.

IIRC, Esposito is going to be Sidewinder, head of the Serpent Society.

Doesn’t matter how many reshoots they do, they screwed up making Mackie not only the lead in a movie but making him Captain America. Idiots.

I've said it before, I really like Mackie. I think he's a good actor, I enjoy his work, and I really enjoyed him as Falcon.
But unless they pump him full of serum, I have no interest in a non-superpowered Captain America. Sorry.

They should not have skipped Bucky, who had the first claim and an amazing story. His storyline where he is banging Black Widow, being Cap during the day, but moonlighting as Winter Soldier while he needs to do the dirty work, is great.

And I love that old cap passes the torch to a new cap. But a cap with no superhero abilities is boring as hell. I want to see superhuman shite when I watch these movies, not dudes like me in a suit.
I feel like I should mention Batman, but Batman is a billionaire so he's definitely not like us.

Can’t wait to get lectured for something I never did or even knew about.

Such a missed opportunity. Sam and Bucky have great chemistry, Bucky has that checkered past, Sam is virtuous but has no super ability, he can guide Bucky while they also have their back and fort spats which would be great. Instead we get the same old Disney conformity with how they do this crap and the movie will underachieve.

Meanwhile, Chris Evans' agent is waiting in the wings for this movie to bomb like Jimmy Sexton when an SEC head coach position opens up...
Posted on 11/5/24 at 2:41 pm to SoFla Tideroller
They’re going to end up having to bring all the OGs back for a movie as a handoff to recasted younger versions of the characters. Thats all they can do or they’ll just keep making bombs
