The thing is that Iron Man’s appeal is the character itself, specifically RDJ’s portrayal and his natural charisma.

Just having Joe Blow doing the same action sequences wouldn’t have the same appeal.

I'm going to take a stab at the plot. Reluctant hero, love interest, big bad who wants to destroy the world, captain America destroys them and saves the day.

The end.

If you've read the book 'Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley then I'd imagine some of those themes will be sprinkled in here.

I don't think it's a coincidence at all that they chose that title as it's a very famous book to the level of 1984.

I really encourage folks to read that book.

I mean thematically constructed, maybe.

If they do, they are obviously going to twist it into woke propaganda. Sadly. They did it to Cap in the comics as well, I can see that bleeding in here. Cap is my favorite superhero and they destroyed his legacy in a couple of years. Just annihilated it.

I cannot be excited for this even I was initially enjoying Falcon-Cap when he was announced, it went off the rails with him and Rogers fast in the comics.

Wut? Are you comparing the Captain America suit, which is some synthetic fabric that tears to a self aware, technologically advanced nanotech, full blown suit made out of vibranium?

Come on, man.

Ironman could at least go toe to toe with Thanos for a little while, Mackie as Cap would get literally broken in half like a twig. He's just a dude in a suit.

Agreed. So people shouldn’t use the superpower argument.

That was half in jest. Just meaning Tony Stark is not a superhero, he’s “someone like you” (minus his billions I guess) in a suit.

When was this ever revealed? I only recall it being some sort of carbon polymer material. Was this in End Game?

The original plot involved an attack on the capital. I imagine they're going to portray General Ross as a Trump type figure now. It looks like Red Hulk will be the villain, though we still don't know who Giancarlo Esposito is playing.

Apparently, it's his his wings and shield, not the suit.

quote:

Recently, the visual effects supervisor of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Eric Leven, confirmed that "while working on the show, no, the suit was not considered made of vibranium."

Leven further explained in his reply on Twitter that the Wakandans "wanted to keep some fancy tech for themselves:

Sam has no serum

Would be funny to watch him clang against the glass, then get captured unconscious off the elevator floor

Fwiw, I liked Falcon/Winter Soldier

I have no desire to watch this at all.

The ending speech was just so cringe, and so NOT Captain America.
