Eddington
Warfare
Caught Stealing
F1
Bugonia
Phoenician Scheme
Black Bag
Train Dreams
Nouvelle Vague

I’m expecting Marty Surpreme to round out my top 10 but if not I would go 28 Years Later or Weapons.
Here’s the solution, just stop watching ESPN.

Looks like I’m adding Josh Pate to the list too, that dude went downhill big time this year.

Landman isnt prestige TV Its just a fun show with billy bob going around doing ridiculous stuff and dropping 1 liners. Same as tulsa king with Stallone. Enjoy it for what it is

Exactly. I’ve never seen so much complaining about a show that is just for entertainment, it’s not trying to chase awards. Just have fun or stop watching, the constant complaints every week about women, drive times, and whatever else not being totally accurate is just as annoying as the worst parts of the show.
I’ll be bartending, so I’m sure that will go well. I was supposed to have the night off but plans change unfortunately
The 4th is going to be the actual trailer. It goes Steve, Thor, Doom, and then trailer.

re: Entry level Film Job (PA) in BR

I'm returning home for a studio feature film that will be based out of BR starting next month. Not ideal for having to bring most of the crew in from NOLA, but opens up and interesting opportunity for someone in BR that might want to break into or continue in the business as a production assistant (in the Art Department). I am interested in someone who genuinely wants to work and learn. No real experience needed. Generally, these jobs are filled by 20 somethings who might have gone to art school or studied GFX etc. Not a requirement of course, but helps if they have a similar background.

This is a decently paid gig and I like getting new people involved, so if you know someone that might be interested in joining the circus that is filmmaking, come forward. It's a full time, 50 hour a week job .... and not an internship. Why here? I would rather start in the TD universe than say traditional social media or god help us -- Craigslist.

Just a thought and wanted to throw it out there just in case a really good candidate is out there.

I actually explored trying to get a job in the industry a few years ago but nothing ever materialized. I was looking for an assistant production accountant role. Unfortunately, I'm not in the BR area but if you ever have openings in Alabama, feel free to reach out.
Thank you guys I’ll check out those areas and do some exploring. RTR
About to leave Huntsville for Birmingham.

I actually don't have too much experience with Birmingham, anyone have any good recommendations for restaurants/bars near the arena?

Same as the PSU rumors, it’s likely a small handful of people spreading it and people reposting that.

PSU rumors were from a message board that somehow blew up. They were never credible. DeBoer was never mentioned as a serious candidate from anyone that covers the program. We at least already know from the Michigan on3 guys they’re going to at least reach out to him and make an offer.

So we’ll see what happens but just pointing out this time the rumor has a bit more merit.

Everybody going after Marcus Freeman?

Freeman is sitting pretty right now. He can stay at Notre Dame and be a playoff contender every year going 10-2, move to the NFL, or wait for Ohio State. Michigan would be surprising.
I actually give it a pretty solid chance of it happening but only if Bama loses to OU.

He’s more of a culture fit at UM, is still coaching at a big time program but in a weaker conference, and he’s not going to see a drop off in NIL funds.

Year 3 is a pivotal year for him at Bama, he could cash out now and still land the job he would’ve had if Harbaugh left just a bit sooner.
Hopefully we can get a sell out soon, would be a bad look otherwise.

I enjoyed it more than Eddington and OBAA, which all have similar themes. Really want to give it a rewatch.
Franklin was fired less than a year after making the semi final. Heupel won 8 games (zero quality wins) and they’re still pumping their chest after getting blown out at Ohio State
I used to love to go to the movies because of the previews.

However, in 2025, we don't need 30 minutes of previews and ads. I'm at the point where I don't even show up exactly on time now because it takes forever for the movie to actually start.

I love Tommie and Billy Bob, but I feel like this season he’s way too over the top. Every other word is fuc*ing and you don’t talk to a drug lord like that

The hope is they went ahead and introduced the main storyline for the season and all the subplots at once and they get tackled gradually, or else I agree.

The Mexican girl is an idiot and that’s not realistic. So she loves this guy, but the second he becomes a millionaire she walks away??? And they just never talk again?

The Mexican girl had already lost one husband when he chased after the cash. The girl has a scare with Tommy's son and decides she doesn't want to experience it again. We already know she has that settlement but doesn't care about being rich, so her motivations and wanting to work do make sense. Even if I wouldn't handle it that way exactly.

I thought that was one of the stronger episodes of the series. People can make fun of Sheridan and how unrealistic this show is but we now have three heavy-hitter actors (BBT, Moore, Garcia) all about to go at it in a very entertaining universe. I'm loving it.
I think Golesh is a good coach but it's a risky hire for Auburn. If you're going the G5 route, you want someone a bit more dominant at that level. Yeah the offense will be fine but that defense will suffer and Golesh gets to learn life in the SEC. I think it's a bad match for both parties tbh

Just STFU!

You all whined and posted all week about how Auburn was going to win blah blah blah

I called you pussies then and you’re pussies now…

Find another team to cheer for because we don’t need you

A win is a win but it took a 4th down conversion to win the game, it was ugly from start to finish. I don't know how you can watch that game and be like oh yeah that's a playoff team.
I really enjoyed it, caught it on HBO Max last night. I think it's pretty similar, theme-wise, to both OBAA and Bagonia, with Bagonia slightly beating out Eddington as the best of the three.

People are going to get caught up in the political examples, but it's really just a story about manipulation and isolation. Aster did a good job of going after both sides, even though the core message takes a hard turn in the third act.
