Marvel has been pretty crap since Endgame, I don’t think they could imagine how much of a flop their Multiverse Saga would flop. Let’s not forget they…

- put a pause on their productions to reorganize their projects, dumping quite a few movies/shows that were in the works, and slowed things way down compared to right after Endgame.

- had to fire the actor playing the new big bad. It also didn’t help that viewers just watched him lose to Ant-Man. So they had to almost go back to the drawing board.

- they threw a bag of cash at RDJ and the Russo brothers to return and decided to make the new bad guy Doom.

So yeah they know themselves it hasn’t been great. I get the feeling the next Avengers movie after this one, Secret Wars, is going to be used as a reset for the universe.

The whole shared/connected universe was great at first but the concept doesn’t age well because, well, actors age unlike animation and comics. We’ll see what happens but I’m not too excited.
It’s the same leak that John Campea was given and he confirmed it on his show the other day but he was also given this info months ago so I guarantee a few big changes have happened since reshoots were after this was leaked.

I’m hoping after Secret Wars we get a hard reset and we stop with the multiverse stuff. As far as plot leaks go, it sounds fine. Leaks hardly ever look great compared to actually watching the movie.

Interesting that he was still in the opening credits, I’m sure he’ll be back.
It’s free on YouTube but Rough Riders is a good one.
Two episodes into the new season, how are we feeling? Just when I started thinking to myself I’m ready for the story to pick up a little then boom that ending.

What makes them think that the tree being removed will change anything? Jade didn’t see anything about that in his vision, right?

In Jade’s vision when he looked up from the grave he saw a whole with tree roots. So they dug up the tree as an escape route.

Shifting immediately to night was pretty awesome. Didn’t see that coming. I guess everybody’s sleep cycles will be thrown off big time. The earthquake seems to be helping. So is that maybe the dead kids doing that to help?

Shifting to night helped the creatures. The earthquakes helped the town people. Yeah I have no idea who is actually controlling it, MiY/Sophia made a comment that sounded like it was his doing.

So now Elgin is dead too. Consequences. Fantastic. Little disappointed he didn’t just bowl over Clara ans shove her arse out of the way and get out of there. But still.

Maybe the biggest letdown from the finale. Elgin couldn’t even die right. Didn’t leave any clues, body about to get hidden, no signs of a struggle, and didn’t even go after the helper. Just straight up died.

I’m not directing this at anyone in this thread, but I see a ton of complaining online and I feel like there’s a lot of people don’t know what they’re actually watching. The ending of the show was written before they even started making the show. It was always meant to be five seasons. This is a mystery box show, and in those types of shows typically the answers you do get just lead to more questions, and the largest overarching questions will be answered later on. If you aren’t ok with that, this type of show probably isn’t for you.

I try to avoid Reddit when possible, but they had some nice fan theories when the season began, and now it's just a wasteland of low-effort posts complaining about the show. A lot of the complaints and questions have already been answered, they're basically complaining that not every little thing has been answered. I guess this is going to be a generation thing because I grew up watching shows like Lost from week to week and not binge-watching everything in one setting and expecting every answer to be handed to me. Season 4 wasn't my favorite, but I'm looking forward to taking a break from the discourse surrounding the show.

I was also having the discussion of questions we need answered and ones we don’t. We won’t get an answer to every single question the show has created, and we don’t need it. For example, a few questions I don’t really need answered are about Tillie, the bag of teeth, the cicadas, I don’t care about how electricity works, or how they get food, etc etc. I would like to know about Martin, Julie’s story walking, the spider in season one, etc etc.

Yep. It's one of those shows that a good chunk of stuff you can just chalk up to the genre and setting of the show. I'm not going to haggle over every little detail and most of it can be left to interpretation, but not every viewer is comfortable with that kind of conclusion.
Mel Brooks marathon all night, good stuff.
Watched last night on Prime, which I was excited about because I missed the theater window. As someone with no kiddos (but one on the way) I still really enjoyed this one. A bit more emotional than I expected.

It also freaked out my cat which was a nice bonus.
So this is where I’m kind of at after the season finale.

- So we basically have MiY and BiW playing a chess match against each other. Obviously an inspiration from Lost. I’ll take seeing a bit more than that.

- Story walking has to be reintroduced in season 5. I can respect the writers patience not going back to it for the rest of season 4 but it’s too big to just keep ignoring during the final season.

- What’s going on with the kitchen cabinets?

- Did we really need the MiY having a spy? Almost more annoying to randomly spring that on us with a character we’ve barely seen compared to just writing around it.

- Fatima went from a pretty annoying character to now one of importance. Who knows what direction they’ll go with there, she could turn into the big bad or makes a sacrifice play. We’ll see.

- There are way too many characters that need screen time at this point. We need a slaughter and a few more of the non NPC characters to get wiped out. Let’s get a focus on 5-7 characters and close out this show strong. We had central characters standing around doing nothing during a season finale, have to do better.

- We still don’t know who Martin is. The ballerina box is still a mystery. Sudden weather changes were an interesting twist, even MiY made a brief comment that made it seem like it was out of his control. So what’s the end goal with the bones? Can we ditch the MiY disguised as a girl and snooping around because one season was enough of that.
I’m starting it now but yeah I’ll hold off on spoilers until tomorrow night.

They did great on this last season. Got back to what originally made the show so good.

Agreed. Hell I think I enjoyed it even more than season 1. Ritchie has one of the best written arcs of all time.
Yeah dumping the full season at once is kind of a red flag but hopefully we get one more season. I enjoyed season 1 but season 2 just hit it out of the park.

I feel like the BiW definitely is connected to the tree. However I can’t figure out how he’s a ghost but aging? Maybe it represents the cycle and how it’s about to restart?
Just finished season 2. Glad this thread was bumped. Hopefully we get a season 3, this show is addicting.
He’s the Noir detective without all the stereotypes of the classics. He has empathy, doesn’t like violence, keeps his own emotions mostly in check, and he doesn’t cling to the femme fatale characters. It’s been refreshing to watch while still maintaining plenty of Noir elements.
