Now Lauren Cohen is leaving after six episodes of season nine. What an absolute frick up on AMC's part. It really is tragic to see a once massive show fall to nothing so quickly

She already signed on to some pilot for ABC so this isn't a surprise.

She’s one of the few characters left that have mass appeal. I gave up on the show last season, but even I know that Maggie leaving will really hurt the show.

Hmmm, you think they might be regretting killing off Carl much now?

This is signal to AMC that they should have wrapped up the show a few seasons ago and given the show an actual ending.

Now the show is just going to disintegrate and eventually just get cancelled.

The writers have done a terrible job with the Maggie character in the last year. She is wise to GTFO now and go make some $$ on another show.

They dragged out the governor and then Negan too long.

Honestly, this. I watched all of Season 1 and thought it was good enough to keep watching. Eventually they got to the farm, and it felt more like I was having my life drained from me.

The show is massively slow leading to momentary climatic reveals with shock factors (opening the barn, the deaths of major characters, etc) but there's little payoff for how long you have to watch the show to get to them.

Kudos for the show turning a redneck into the most badass and likable character on the show. That's about it though.

Oh, and the dad joke meme.

Like most shows.

And they will have made a whole lot more money than if they'd cut "a few seasons" off of the series and providing you with the neat, satisfying ending you feel they owe you for some reason.

Wonder how long AMC is going to try to keep the show alive.

Quickly?? The ratings started falling off two seasons ago and the show has been shite for about 5 seasons. They fired Gimple way too late.

I gave up on the show following the Negan cliff hanger killing in his debut, I watched that premier but the killing of Abe seemed like they did it purely for shock value since everyone knew it was going to be glenn. Needless and showed how desperate the show had become. I was also able to watch an episode of THD via DVR in about 5-10 minutes.

The show probably could have been tGOAT had they kept it as a contained story told within 4-5 seasons. It just became changing one "hopeless" situation for another with no real end in sight.

I think it used to be great. It's one of those things I watch while doing something else now because I feel too invested to stop. It absolutely blows now though.

Some women, while not considered conventionally beautiful have an intangible quality of sex appeal that catapults them above other women. Lauren Cohen is one of those women.

Saw she was signed to a pilot on another network and figured she was gone. The show is entertaining but they could add some new characters and change the predictable writing.

Hey Koohrul is still gone!

Her sex tape doesn't hurt either.
