Liberty Precision Machine Mach K2

This will be all you need for a great hunting setup. Light and short. Enough to reach out to 400-500 if you need. Just get some good rings like Talleys and you will be good to go.
I think they have done more to make hunting palatable to the general public than any other group. I think it’s because of how much they talk about conservation and public lands and then how much they talk about the field to table stuff. My parents dont care about hunting and don’t watch anything else hunting related, but they watch MeatEater.
Just bought a VIP ticket for Dallas. Brining them some deer curry.

don't they use the straight pull bolts because their nanny states don't allow semi-auto and that's the fastest thing their overlords will allow?

Yeah, they are fun as hell though. Not in the same way a semi is. I have a Blaser w/ a 6.5 creed barrel and a 9.3x62 barrel. I find every excuse to shoot it. It is so damn fun.

Straight pull bolt gun in a .30-06, .35 whelen, or 9.3x62 shooting heavy for caliber bullets w/ a red dot. It's what the Europeans do. They are the driven hunt experts.

Salt, pepper, minced garlic, butter. Score them and rub that all in. Broil in oven. Incredible.
CAT is the new goodness. Anything they have that would fit your needs. Haven’t personally shot them but a few people I trust have and they are currently the top performers.

I lived in Natch for the past 2 years. Have tried about every place you can think of. Best places are Sweeties (get the ribs and bread pudding), Cane River Commissary, and Mayeuxs (red fish cocadrie is really good). There are some other decent places but those 3 are ones I could eat at frequently. Also, stop by Cane River Kitchenware and grab a brookie.

There have been ultra quick turnarounds since before Trump took office. Towards the last few months of Biden's term, there had been 1 week or less turnarounds. Nothing to do with Trump.

Places to live in Shreveport

Hey guys, I know this might be more of an OT topic but I consider the OB my TD family lol.

I am moving to Shreveport for the next 3 years and wondering if yall have suggestions on places to live.

Well, a LPM Anthem S2 is cheaper, shorter, and about the same weight as the Banish 30 and performs better. The LPM Mach (titanium version of anthem). is about the same price, lighter, shorter, and performs better. I don't think the SC cans are awful, but you arent getting great value for what you pay for imo.
Well technically yes. Any 5.56 can will be effective on .22lr. The things you lose by going that route is size, weight, and ability to clean. .22 dedicated cans are stupid quiet in a smaller form factor and with less weight than 5.56 silencers. Also, most .22 cans let you tear them apart while most 5.56 cans are sealed. There are now some .22 cans which are sealed, you just have to soak to clean like other sealed silencers.

Short answer is yes but it is better to get dedicated .22 cans since they will be just as quiet in a much smaller package.

Remington 7600 .308 for hunting with my 5 year old son....its already a long rifle. Please advise...maybe it would be best to stick to the Nomad 30 for these use cases

Nomad will be fine.

I'll be honest though, I'm not sure I would thread my 7600. One, it's a gun they don't make anymore and is more of a historical thing. Second, you can get a cheap gun already threaded like a ruger american. I would say buy a newer threaded gun rather than spending the money to have a gun like that threaded.

Any of the 30 cal ones (DD, JL, ODB). CAT does optimize silencers for caliber specific purposes though. They don't do "do-all" silencers. They will work on lower calibers but are not optimized. They are an incredible company. They utilize AI to map the blast propagation of each caliber and host style to make the best designs. If I wanted a do-all silencer from them, I would probably get the ODB. It's short and quiet enough for my purposes. I don't like longer silencers, even though they are quieter. I am ok sacrificing a bit of sound performance to save length, especially for hunting.
Resilient Rambling Man. Actual better tech than the other options. Way lighter too. It’s gonna sound better and be lighter than the other options listed.
