re: Go get Brian Hartline

You clearly misread what I said. I said you WOULDN’T have to pay him $10 million a year to get him here. In other words, you could get him at a reasonable rate without having to break the bank to get him here.

Go get Brian Hartline

Let him retain Blake Baker, Corey Raymond, Frank Wilson, and maybe even Kyle Williams. Let him convince the key players to return, while also maintaining the majority of this impressive recruiting class. Add a few key portal transfers, in addition to completing the coaching staff with pivotal hires, and let him cook.

He’s young, offensive minded, and the best recruiter in the country. He also has a national championship on his resume from Ohio State last year.

He would be eager to prove himself, and you wouldn’t have to give him $10 million a year to get him here. We could do a lot worse than him.

Hiring big name assistants worked out ok for Georgia, Oregon, Notre Dame, and Ohio State to name a few. It’s time to hire a younger and hungrier coach who is not worried about a golden parachute. They just want the chance to be great if given the opportunity.
Where is Goebbels when you need him to control and spin the narrative?
If we would go with the best top assistant available, Brian Hartline is the way to go for sure. Young, offensive minded, successful, and an amazing recruiter. I'm really warming up to the idea of him being our next coach, actually.

That’s the point. If he can take SMU to the playoffs, he can certainly take LSU to the next level.

Rhett Lashley

We need a young, proven, offensive minded coach. He’s only 42, and has a 34-15 record at SMU. And by the way, he took freaking SMU to the playoffs last year! He has recruiting inroads in Texas, and he would kill it here with all of our resources.
I’m surprised he was able to say anything with all of the damn commercials he has during the show.

He was also great in The Color of Money as a guy who hustled the ultimate pool hustler played by Paul Newman.
Do we know who the home SEC opponents are too?
I like it. We would also get to see a young Colonel Trautman, and how they first met.

Best of luck to him. As LSU fans, we are just left to wonder what might have been.
This post makes me feel happy, and I like being happy, so I choose to believe it. Geaux Tigers!
Shaun Alexander was at the top of my list.

It just can’t be played in their 30,000 seat stadium every other year. It would have to be in the Dome. Maybe even a 3-1 Tiger Stadium/Superdome agreement.

Dog piling is for teams who’ve never won a Super Regional. LSU only dog piles after winning the CWS.
They’re printing the shirts for “Next 4 Out”.
They would be printing shirts if they had won.
