Literally could have been thousands of valid reasons.

That's like saying why is Waffle House still open at that hour and trying to figure why something went wrong there because said time schedule didn't match up with yours in a perfect world.

I live in DC. The DMV is particularly bad about this and Maryland drivers are the worst.

How did you get "almost daily" out of that?

They can, but there's a much higher risk of getting killed by a dumb arse.

Just another drunk driver statistic.

200K deaths a year 488 a day in the US alone. ?

RIP.

It's a lot but not that number. But it's historically been around 12-15k. ( That number is fatalities not... Wrecks, abuses, destruction of families..or livers )

It's also right around the same number as non-suicide gun related deaths

The racing part is speculation but she was hanging out with them right before. Considering she was drunk, some if not all of them might have been too

Not to mention the dodge chargers that pass me everyday on interstate going at least 100 in work traffic weaving in and out
Well a former Navy buddy of mine has a repo company in another state and chargers make up about 50% of his repos so there is hope.

Reading comprehension is hard.
Are you trying to pretend you weren’t insinuating 488 people die every day from drunk driving?

Looks a benign area, gentle curves, flat roads, few trees on the side of the road.

In an article I read the charger ended up in a bunch of tree stumps.

What an awful story to read. RIP and prayers to his friends and family. There are way too many drivers that treat public roads like a Nascar track. Can't make my comute to and from work without seeing multiple cars going 90+ and tailgating people. No one seems to respect that they're behind the wheel of a 2-3 ton death machine until something like this happens to them

People who get caught street racing should lose their license for life. Society constantly giving these worthless people an excuse for street racing is a massive problem. I wish it was shunned and looked down upon like it should be.

See tweet above, they were partying / hanging out with the girl that lost control and hit them. Doubt they were going to BWI airport.
