With back up cameras... This is a breeze. That only issue is that on coming traffic today either can't wait 10 seconds and starts honking or will come half way up the parking spot you are backing into like he/she is clueless about the maneuver being performed - or both

IU was inexplicably good, PSU did not crap the bed in any games,
I don't think this is necessarily true....I mean, yeah, PSU tried to crap the bed, but didn't... But the schedules of these two teams is sooo unbelievably easy, that- no matter how they tried.. They couldn't lose.
The Big 10 isn't that good... But the bottom 1/3 is really bad - making both PSU and especially IU look "good"
The overall w/l record ( in conf) of their opponents
PSU 34-49
IU 27-53
And both those numbers are bolstered by a 7 win OSU(which beat both )
So accounting of just the wins for each would be 27-47 and 20- 51
Throw in OCC of: Kent ST ,BG, FIU Charlotte, West Ill and the high point of a 6-6 WVu
Those two schools...we really have no reference to how good they are because the best win of both teams is: PSU beating #20 IL ( in Happy Valley) for IU ...the best win is (7-5) Michigan who they beat in Bloomington

Watching Bama execute his plays was like watching grown men play their 8 yr kids in basketball at family gatherings - just toying with them for fun ( and it was fun )

Cool, that doesn’t have anything to do with the “CFP Debacle” in the title of thread. There is no debacle, just a bunch of Alabama fans whining.

During college I I had a job loading tailers for a company. It would take hours to load the finished wood work. So, we usually got to talking to the drivers (Ie Mayflower). One driver, and I understand.. Drivers can be like fisherman, but I asked, .."what's the craziest story you got?". And he said he picked up a load at a medical facility in Baltimore area. He had an armed passenger with him the whole trip. He had a military vehicle trail him the whole trip he got to NV and entered this base...keeps driving to a mountain, goes around to an entrance and doors open up ...he pulls in and goes to a designated stop point...another truck/trailer pull up and back to his .... Contents are transferred and he left never knew what was in the bed but it was a massive facility inside of that mountain ...
The year in two plays:
Posted by SuperOcean on 12/9/24 at 7:48 am
Some may have a problem pulling two plays to represent the whole season but for me...it's easy:
The High of Milroe to Williams just after UGA took the lead. Flash of what the kid can do
Followed by
First penalty the following week. Bama gives up an opening drive TD to Vandy, then an immediate pick 6 Down 14-0 Bama puts together a solid drive capped off by a Jam Miller TD. 14-7.. Bama D then gets a stop and it seems like Bama has weathered the emotional start of Vandy . Vandy punts on 4th and 4. But Bama has two #2s on the field. First down Vandy and D is back on the field and Vandy ascores a TD and Bama is down 21-7 Bama gives them an extra possession that results in a TD in a game that Bama list 40-35
A season of highs but more of shooting ourselves in the foot. I know what ifs are hard but...if Bama gets the ball..scores and makes it 14 -14 ... I think they win that game and the whole season is different

There is no debacle.
Five times across three games I have seen the TV ref openly question what the field refs are doing. It happened before, but rarely ...so rarely that it seemed that there was an unwritten rule that the TV ref couldn't disagree openly. But it's so bad now that to have any reliability...they have to disagree

Your the head of the SEC ... Biased, but that's the most clout in the room. Maybe Big 10 is on par l, not in overall talent but in dollars
So 1) bye doesn't go to pisspoor schedule teams
AZ St and Boise shouldnt be getting payouts from Big bowls for existing past MT WY NM NV etc the byes should go to the top 4;ranked teams
2 ...most importantly torgo automatic qualifying. ..you get in on your record and that record be a composite of several factors ie an enhanced BCS computers to take out the "oh, they are undefeated" ( except theyb only play cupcakes) and a eye test to say..."team their conference sucks but.. They are actually good"
Then.. Composition of the human element of a CFP style ...then 1/3 of the sitting members are set by the SEC
re: Do you hope Clemson and SMU get embarrassed in the first round

Yes. ...I'm 100% on the UGa bandwagon for this
AZ st Boise SMu Clemson PSU Indiana can lose 100 to 0 for all I care

The only thing that matters is number of losses. Period.
Slightly different.. But the CFP only cares about wins - regardless of how cheap those wins are
To be fair, the requirement of conf champions has dictated some of the committee decisions and for that Sankey needs to be canned. But the SEC has a real problem especially with the parity in it's current state
The Big 10 has the framework to get 4;teams every yr .... It would just depend on the scheduling committee as to which teams go. . Have the right 4-5 teams play that bottom 1/3 ( or a standard of Um OSU PSU + )and add .a couple occ cupcakes and voila ....10+ wins

Their AD has announced they will be changing the way they look at the non conference schedule. No longer will they be playing juggernauts such as Mercer, South Florida, and Western Kentucky.
Those games would improve the Clemson SoS.,but
BAMA also has ND, OSU,, FSU WIsc USCw on the slate in coming years

the committee ranked Clemson over SC this week. They don't seem too impressed with SC's schedule.
The committee has Indiana and SMu in the mix voluntarily... It also very much seems that the committee only cares about wins regardless of how cheap they are... But UGa best Clemson at the beginning of the year and USC did the same at the end. So no Clemson claim of "well we got better after UGa ". Clemson is in the playoffs by being to best team in a 3 team conference but ', that's srill better than the Big 12 and Mountain West

I dont buy that. This is a pride and practice game granted it's an opportunity for a continuation of 10 win seasons but it's also the first step on the '25 season

Help me understand the bigger picture....it wasnt OOC games that cost Bama ...it was the strength of the SEC. I get the CFP has their head up their butts and is " duhhhh how many wins?" But wouldn't beating P5 OOCs be beneficial? It gives them a loss Overall...what, the SEC liost.. 6..7 OOc games.
UF to Miami
LSU to USC
AM to ND
MSU to ASU and someone else
Vandy to Ga State
A cupcake is a guaranteed win and I get the CFP only cares about that, but given the competitive dogfight the SEC is , we ( the conf) need to give Ls to the other Conf - we can't do anything about our own conf (unless we expand and pad it with cupcakes and brag about Internet SoS)
