Shedeur getting benched for a black guy that’s also a bad quarterback and a worse person

Is he really a threat to be the #1 overall pick in April?

He has been the #1 projected damn near everywhere for months and months.

Maybe but Deshaun wouldn’t have become what he is on the Saints… at worst he’d be mediocre like Derek Carr. Only the Browns could just tank him like that

Yeah there's a few that have Dante Moore #1 and Arch #2 overall but that's like 5 out of 100.

Solid move actually.. Browns start the season away at Jax and away at TB.. if Watson does well he comes back to Cle as the starter, if he bombs, easy to switch to Sanders and you give him a better chance of success with his first game a home game vs Carolina

The only reason to start Watson is if you think he's better than the alternative.

This isn’t high school football. Player cap hits are part of the calculus with roster decisions.

No, but it is stupid or desperate from the Browns standpoint. Take a guy who has had 2 Achilles surgeries over a kid who is maybe not as good as we thought.

Who actually thought the kid was good?

He got banged up but doesn’t sound like a long term or major injury

Of course they are.

They literally can't cut Watson. They can't afford it.

That's a whole lot different than saying you need to start him though.

The Manning and Haslam families are tight. I wouldn’t completely say that.

You also know that the Mannings are not gonna let Arch anywhere near Cleveland

This is just as much bullshite as anything that Deion has ever done regarding his kids.

Without his last name arch would have been a run of the mill 3 star guy.

He isn’t his grandad or uncles

This doesn't make sense. They are going to pay him either way. It doesn't make a difference if he plays or not.

I like the plans of giving him the first two games on the road. If he's horrible, then can release him, elevate Gabriel from the practice squad, and move on..
