Wouldn't they have started Shadeur instead for that? Or are they waiting for the active tank later in the season for that?

You also know that the Mannings are not gonna let Arch anywhere near Cleveland

No, but it is stupid or desperate from the Browns standpoint. Take a guy who has had 2 Achilles surgeries over a kid who is maybe not as good as we thought.

How bad is the Browns situation?

Both bad options but Watson has seemed to be the worse option every step of the way, and with the comments this weekend the option that is most likely to tank team and fan morale

This is blatant white supremacy within the Browns organization and I wouldn't be shocked to see Sanders sit out and demand a trade.

Is he really a threat to be the #1 overall pick in April?

Doesn’t really matter. He’ll probably be benched after a few games. Browns have too much capital tied to Watson to not give him a shot though

Luckily for Watson the first two games are on the road.

You know it's bad when fans are seeing Shedeur as the good guy in the situation.

That's a dumb way of looking at it.

The only reason to start Watson is if you think he's better than the alternative.

Arch ain’t going anywhere near first overall. Can’t believe people are falling for the hype again

Of course. He got progressively better last year and was pretty darn good towards the end of the year. Athletic player, and he's Manning. If he has a great year he obviously could go #1...but he might even come back for another year from what I understand.

Just have to see how the year plays out

But let's say he is: there is no way they let him go to Cleveland. He 100% goes back or maneuvers himself somewhere else

At least with Shadeur there is a hope that maybe, just maybe he gets it and becomes a watchable NFL qb. Watson’s career died five years ago.
