The first BCS formula rankings for the 2026 college football season were released Monday after Week 6, with LSU ranked No. 20.

The Tigers (4-2) dropped their second game of the season Saturday night, falling to Kentucky in overtime in Lexington.

Georgia claimed the No. 1 spot after beating Alabama on the road, followed by Notre Dame, Miami, Indiana, and Ohio State.

Nine SEC teams appeared in the Top 25, including Kentucky at No. 16 after its win over LSU.

The BCS formula, which was used to determine college football's national championship matchup before the College Football Playoff era, combines human polls and computer rankings to evaluate teams.
