Was a great spot to stop when my kids were younger and we bounced around tailgates. Pretty sure it just go overran with High School kids and they did not have enough resources to deal with it.

Ok, but that still has nothing to do with the article. Collis didn’t make them commit crime.
No but he is willingly renting to known criminals, Same thief , same address, required multiple cop cars in 22 .. Here is a pic and article from 22 LINK At the very least someone should check the lease, I assume that is zoned single family A-1 , it looks more like a cheap motel with multiple entrances

50 years old and breaking into houses. Sad, sad
What about all the taxidermied animals he stole in 22 ?.. is that sad sad

Deputies have recovered the makings of an exotic zoo as part of their ongoing investigation into the burglary of a dead man’s home in East Feliciana Parish.
Two lions, a zebra, a cheetah, and other animals that had been preserved by a taxidermist were found at a storage unit near Essen Lane in Baton Rouge Thursday morning, East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Jeff Travis said.
Deputies say they arrested Timothy Tyler, 46, of Baton Rouge
And guess where they arrested him... the SAME address on Camellia..the current article says he had multiple arrest warrants out, so why did it take the US Marshals to come in and do it when he has been living at the exact same address since 22, they had to block the road off back then also just like this go around
quote:
Strange he hasn’t gotten an online or independent study degree by now.
Exactly...lots of successful people do not have or need a degree...but you would think someone who is a career politician would get piece of paper from somewhere since education is normally an important topic with the voters
quote:
Damn they would have us opening up at mcneese lol
LOL who is "they"..other than all the LC people now in charge at LSU, this feels dumb, WW is going to coach his first game back at LSU in Lake Charles ? what do we owe McNeese ?

That's exactly what LSU is doing, and what you are crying about them doing. They just aren't using your ridiculously outrageous process of doing it.
 You do realize "ridiculously outrageous" is exactly what lots of fans think about these prices and their current process.... also LSU is not selling all the tickets to the highest bidder as I suggested, which may be a better plan if the goal is to maximize money taken in.

Tough look admitting to the board that you’re poor.
 Either that or admitting I possess a slight bit of common sense. But in all honesty, ever since LSU priced the "regular fans" out of the stadium, I have rarely not been able to find a free or $10 to any game I wanted to go to outside of the stadium before the game. The big money donors buy the tickets for status not because they are fans and then do not actually go for many reasons, whether it be because the game is not a "big game", or because it is day game or because we have 1 loss, so tickets are always out there for free or cheap. Now about once every 5 years or so, there is a big game, that you will have to pay face value for out there, but still way ahead.

And if people are willing to go that route, then guess what happens to the price of tickets?
A certain percentage of diehard fans , never go to Tiger Stadium and then numerous TD posters every year complain about TS atmosphere, not being what it once was :dunno:
quote:
This is the basics of how everything is bought and sold. Why can't people comprehend this?
:snoozer: Everything is NOT bought this way. Since maximizing revenue is the goal, Should LSU just scrap season tickets and auction off every seat to every football game? Highest bidder wins. Let the market decide prices.
LOL.. it was destined to happen...tickets are essentially going to the highest bidder now... It is like they have no idea they are competing with 100" TVS that are cheap and can be watched in conjunction with AC.. Maybe I am just too old at this point, but I would not be able to justify taking wife and 2 kids to ONE game and expect to spend minimum 1k
That fish is terrible, but could be fixed in 3 seconds with AI, apparently the owner loves it or it would change, which is not a good sign
Which Game ? you can probably just walk down to the lower bowl and find a seat or a standing spot in between South & West .. If it is LSU vs UT in Nov and both teams are undefeated and Arch and Leavitt are Heisman frontrunners, you may need to go to Goodwill and buy a wheelchair to secure your seat.

re: Rental cars are crazy expensive these days!

Costco normally saves about 10%, maybe 20% but it does include an extra driver at no additional cost if you need that.
Also, not much help for a 25hr trip, but a lot of times a weekly rate is cheaper than 4 days.

Brunson, took the max he could the year he signed, no idea how the media is running with the he took a pay cut angle....the "pay cut" is referencing if he would have waited another year and risked injury, then he could have signed for significantly more.... Imagine him passing iit up and getting hurt like Isaiah Thomas did with the Celtics and never getting a big contract
Seaside 30a Brawl - Is it really this bad?
Posted by yaherrdme on 7/11/26 at 8:19 am
I saw this on X today. I haven't been there in years because it got so expensive, but looks like I won't be going back soon, if this is what it has become. Video in the link.

According to the arrest affidavit, deputies responded on the night of July 2 to reports of a physical disturbance near East County Highway 30A and East Ruskin Street. When they arrived, they found Kanyon Lee Williams unconscious in the roadway with severe facial injuries. Investigators documented extensive swelling to his face, multiple lacerations, loose teeth, fractures to his nose and a hematoma to the back of his head.

The source told me several teenagers from Texas were vacationing in Seaside when they encountered what they described as a group of mostly African American teenagers confronting a Hispanic teenager. According to the source, Williams stepped in to stop the confrontation rather than participate in it. The source said Kanyon REPEATEDLY told the group he did not want to fight and attempted to walk away multiple times, but they continued coming after him anyway. It was only after someone ripped the chain from around his neck that the situation escalated into a physical altercation

That game is in November, if we are undefeated and a night game, it will be tough. If we have 2 losses and it is a day game, it will be easy. That being said, worst case scenario if you are looking for 2 or less and you feel like putting some work in on game day, you will be able to find a pair for face value at the stadium. (if we have multiple losses, tix will be $20)
Keep current position and keep the weekends for the startup. The new job has a chance to be less or the same money.
