quote:

I got married during football season but I made the wife pick a bye weekend and it had to be a Friday night.
I got married on an LSU game day, but it was strategically scheduled for Central Michigan.

I was a-okay letting that game go.

People that do this are about as near sighted as they come.
“i d0nT c@rE aB0uT fO0TbAlL!!!”

Ok, congratulations?
But guess what…. Your guests do! And do you want them paying attention to you…. or staring at their phones all night. Because you can bet your arse that’s what is going to happen, no matter how much you don’t care about football. SMH

I have a celebration of life (funeral) in the afternoon for a dear family friend, then a gathering at a restaurant thereafter at 6:00. What is the protocol for this?

Bc not everyone’s life depends on 18-22 yo who makes more than us who mostly has no link to LSU other than they gave the biggest check

Seems pretty obvious not everyone lives football.

I had to attend a wedding during Bama in 2019.

But I was honored enough to be invited and I valued my friendship

Some women in an attempt to prove how important THEY are intentionally schedule their wedding in football to screw with the men in their life. When my brother got married on a Saturday in September told my sister in law that if she wanted him there the wedding had to be early afternoon. He left the reception to go to the LSU game

I've never had this problem because I don't associate myself with the types of people that get married during football games.
