You just can’t have a wedding on Saturdays in the fall. It’s unfair to family and friends

You can have a wedding all you want in the Fall, as long as you are reasonable and don’t go all bridezilla on people skipping out or wanting to watch a game during the reception.

I will admit that my wedding fell on the same day as the 2019 SEC Championship, and the church would not let us get married later than 2:00pm due to Saturday scheduled mass.

You can have your wedding whenever you want. You just also have to be understanding if people don't come and make your wedding their own priority

I normally don't get into other people's business but do feel ok? You look like something is wrong, like you have the flu or something. I would take the weekend off and get some rest.

My wife wanted to get married during football season. So I knew LSU always has open date before Bama, so I convinced my wife to get married on the 30th because it would be right before her favorite holiday, Halloween. Til this day she doesn’t realize what I did.

Not only that, but you've pretty much guaranteed that you always have a free weekend for the anniversary dinner. Smart play!

One of my friends scheduled her wedding the evening of the 1998 Bama game. I missed the fourth quarter.

I'm forever grateful to her.

amazingly thoughtless and selfish to get married on a saturday in the south, they deserve to have no-shows.

Make your presence known, be present for the necessary moments, spend most of the night sitting in a bathroom stall with your phone.

I got married in October because my wife wanted a fall wedding— I made damn sure to check the schedule before agreeing to the date.

I won that battle, however I did not consider that LSU doesn’t always have the same open weekend…..some anniversaries have been a challenge.
