Still melting!!! Just accept that not only did you get jilted by your spouse, but your spouse who jilted you got the house, the cars, and the dog in the divorce.
I am not a huge baseball fan but I am a huge Tiger fan - because I am not that invested in LSU baseball (although I do follow them) I try to stay pretty objective about the program - JJ is in a group of about 5 coaches that one could say are the best in the game - while it is hard to prove that he is the best in that group, it would be very difficult to argue that he is not - the bottom line is that LSU baseball had an off year and it appears that there were a lot of factors that all came together the contributed to the off year (talent, injuries, the cohesiveness of the team, etc.) - anybody who thinks that LSU would be better served than having someone other than JJ at the helm is delusional - dude knows his shiite, knows how to coach (in game and otherwise), knows how to recruit, and certainly gives you confidence when he speaks
I don't have them but my buddy who sits next to me does - he leaves almost every game early so I jump in his seatback - i have to say that it is a game changer - much better than your arse on those bleacher seats and the back support is legit
sorry for your loss - sounds like he was a good man and a true tiger fan!
They did - that's partially my point - approximately 1/2 of AA members of congress won in districts that are majority white districts - thus, on the broader issue of whether AAs are underrepresented in congress, the factual data destroys the argument - on the narrower issue of whether AAs cannot win a congressional seat unless the seat they are running for is racially gerrymandered in favor of AAs, the factual data destroys the argument - AAs are NOT under-represented in Congress and racial gerrymandering is not needed (nor is it legal) in order for AAs to be represented (equal to the AA population) in congress
I've been saying that for years - Hispanics/Latinos make up 19% of the US population but you don't hear them screaming about carved out minority districts and you certainly won't hear the blacks arguing for carved out districts for Asians, Latinos/Hispanics, Indians, or any other racial minority group - blacks are the only minority group that constantly complain about everything -
Cholly Mac was a good dude - I know some guys who played for him and they all say they would run through a wall for the guy - different type of coaching back then

Burris - gun toting lifetime solid conservative in every facet and has been a solid conservative district court judge - father was a great judge for many years - supported by almost every business and conservative interest in the state

Edwards - sister in law to John Bel Edwards - wife of former disgraced Tangipahoa sheriff Daniel Edwards - supported by trial (plaintiff) lawyers and coastal lawsuit lawyers - used to be a democrat but only changed her party affiliation when she realized she could not win as a democrat in Tangipahoa Parish - lost the Amite mayor's race as a democrat years ago while her own husband was the sheriff - that ought to tell you everything
Notwithstanding that neither the United States Constitution nor the Voting Rights Act in no way, shape, or form guarantee representation in Congress based on race but actually expressly forbid it, the argument that African Americans (or any race) are entitled to representation in the house of representatives equal to the amount of a race in the population (e.g. in Louisiana - 33% African American population = 2 of the 6 house seats in LA) is a dangerous position.

The African American population in the US is 12-13%. Currently there are 62 African American members of the house which is 14.25 of the house seats. Thus, at present, African Americans are over-represented in the house based on the above argument. If the Callais case was wrongfully decided, should African Americans lose one to two seats in the house? Be careful what you ask for?
Louisiana Supreme Court blocks interim Orleans clerk from taking office

The move follows the attorney general's warning that officials could be removed from office if they recognize any clerk other than the state-authorized appointee.

The Louisiana Supreme Court says it plans to quickly decide the fate of a new state law that dissolved New Orleans’ dual court clerk system by merging the criminal and civil clerk offices into one, according to our partners at NOLA.com.

The court also ruled that the city cannot appoint an interim clerk to the combined office and must not interfere with the duties of current clerk Chelsey Napoleon.

The judicial review follows a political firestorm sparked by Act 15, which consolidated the Orleans Parish civil and criminal clerk offices into a single position.

The move effectively nullified a November election in which 68% of voters chose Calvin Duncan to serve as Criminal Court Clerk. Under the new law, Duncan’s position was abolished before he could take office, and control of the unified office was transferred to Civil Clerk Chelsey Napoleon.

ABOLISHED!!!
dude - just stop the ignorance - Napoleon was elected as the civil district court clerk - the criminal district court clerk's office was abolished by the legislature (which it has every right to do) and the duties of abolished criminal court clerk's position were merged and assigned to the civil clerk - the courts were not combined and Napoleon was, in fact, elected
Ba Waa Waa!!! Melt!! Now Comey can experience how bad it sucks to be arrested and have to defend himself in a criminal proceeding that he thinks is bogus - I know Todd Blanche - and I can assure you that prior to presenting this case to the grand jury, the DOJ had a hell of lot more evidence than simply a picture of seashells in the sand
I will attribute the celebrations after HRs and hits to the fact that (let's face it) these are kids - but somebody (i.e. JJ) needs to tell them how ridiculous the celebrations look given the overall performance of this team this year - it's like when a DT or DB in a football game celebrates after making a great play when they are losing 42-10 - absolutely ridiculous
I keep seeing this mantra - you cannot blame the "transfer portal" which is simply a group of available players - JJ is the one who got these players out of the portal - if the players are "middle of the pack in talent" then JJ is the one who mis-evaluated them - 100% coaching fault
