I proposed to my now wife on a mountain in Colorado in 2002. We then talked about possible dates in the fall and tentatively agreed on a date. I told her I would have to get back home to check my work calendar ( this was before iPhone calendars). My real reason was to make sure it was an open date, because I would never ask anyone to be in my wedding on a night LSU was playing. As it turned out, it was an open date. Fate. We are still happily married.

Some of yall probably know the place.
My buddy’s uncle owned a bar/restaurant in Houma. The backside was a little bar. There was a nice patio outside, oak tree, etc.
Me and all my friends were there watching the game and there happened to be a small wedding going on during the game. EVERYBODY except for the bride and groom (he was stood up the wrong way) were looking through the windows at the TV the entire wedding. Can’t remember what game it was. Honey badger era.

In 2016 I HAD to attend a wedding during the LSU-Florida game. My then wife was in the wedding. I watched on my phone even during the ceremony. Those MFers didn't have the courtesy to have a TV at the reception either. I blame that loss on them!

You're not the only one - same here. I will be recording the game and leaving that shite early - getting the fuk out of there right after dinner, no speeches, no dancing, or all that other bullshite. Should be home mid-second quarter, hope to be caught up to live by the second half kickoff. My wife is even pissed that we have to go. She's not even a big football fan but has seen the hype for this game and understands the magnitude and wants to watch it. Inconsiderate dumbasses getting married in the fall.

Years ago I attended a wedding when LSU was playing Ole Miss. The reception had a large TV behind the bar station and just about everyone hovered to that area. DJ and dancing area was practically empty. Poor planning.
