Check out the Hyperion, I think that checks most of those boxes. Love mine, I could demonstrate it on one of those Nilgai y'all have running around down there

I’ve got the Hyperion K and the Hyperion was my number 1 until the PTR came out.

Reflex cans like the AB raptor is where its at. The extra volume behind the muzzle doesnt get you the same sound suppression as the volume and baffles infront the muzzle, but it does change the tone a lot. You get the performance of a huge can without having a huge can hanging off the muzzle. Im hoping that with further deregulation we start seeing more reflex options on the market.

PTR Vent 1 is my next can. I think it may have the best rating for .308 supersonic according to pew science.

Cows are better eating than the Bulls. My brother shot one that went 270lbs this weekend and it’s going to be great. Little on the smaller side. Most of the cows we shoot are 320 to 350 lbs. The bulls 375 to 700 ish depending on age.

Just depends on what application you plan on using your suppressor for. Box blind, range shooting, tripod stand. It all makes a difference in how easy it is to get on target. I have a PTR Vent 1, it’s unbelievable, but it’s a 9” can and tough to get in and out of the windows in my Sportsman Condos. I also have a Dead Air Nomad Ti that’s 7” and it’s really good too, just not as good. The Nomad is much easier to hunt with in most of my stands.

I’m starting to get this shite figured out as I go through and play with the different ones I have. I prefer the short cans for my longer barrel rifles.

I think one of the next cans I buy will be a full size, lightest, with the best suppressing rating I can find. Started with a primal .46 cal and the length was fine on a 16 inch but that’s been moved to my PCC.

Been a slow week on the deer and pigs but seen a ton of Nilgai.
Is that one of those “Gifts” from Santa that your wife just gives you the evil eye as you unwrap it on Christmas morning

5.7 lbs isn’t what I’d call lightweight for a .22lr. I’m guessing that Magpul stock is a chunk.

That website is wrong. It’s 3.5 lbs.

I want to put my thermal on mine and shoot rats off my feeders

Gonna sit in my hi rack on my jeep and bust their arse with a case of beer between my feet.

I have a "decent" gun collection and I dont own a 10/22 or a 22 pistol for some reason. Id like to change that so Ive been researching and the Carbon Fiber has a ton of buzz around it. So yeah, the marketing got me.

I honestly can’t remember how I saw mine. I didn’t even know they were a thing but had bass pro points burning a hole in my pocket and was looking at a Canik pistol. Then I spent a couple grand on suppressors and got cheap and didn’t want to come out of pocket $500 for the Canik smoke. Somehow I ended up on the carbon 10/22 because I didn’t have a threaded .22 rifle but did have a threaded pistol I ordered a can for. Ever since I bought mine I’ve seen them mentioned on here in multiple threads and post in the 2025 gun thread.

When I went to pick it up at bass pro everyone was looking at and playing with and a customer was like I just bought one you’re going to love it

Then I went to pick up my can and they had one on the wall and at least 4 people played with it while I was there.

It was worth it for me because it’s light as shite and I already have several of the mags because I have another 10/22 and like the platform. I’m using mine for plinking and varmit hunting once I finish it out.

The advertising on this fricking gun must be insane.

Feel like all the threads lately have been 10/22 carbon and suppressor threads

Bought mine a few weeks ago but haven’t shot it yet. I’m going the scope route vs red dot style.

How do you like that optic for the .22?

Brooks County Texas Box blind
.308
20-30 MPH winds gusts up to 40.
57 degrees
Chance of rain 70 percent

I’ve only seen 3 decent bucks this trip and their noses where still to the ground chasing in and out the brush. All the big boys seem to be with the ladies.

Ear pro is dependent on a variety of factors. Barrel length, can length, can design, can+brake vs no brake, powder charge. Lots of things go into it, but there are a multitude of cans out there that are comfortable with no ear pro, especially in shooting scenarios. Personally, even with my quietest cans, I still wear ear pro. It makes me more comfortable at the shot.

I won’t wear them when hunting or taking a shot or two.

If I’m doing extended shooting time I will.

Not sure I agree with that. I can tell a difference when someone is shooting with a can and without. I didn’t even hear my brother shoot this am with a .300 win mag with a can on it. That has a lot to do with the wind but if he didn’t have a can on it I would have heard it for sure.

It for sure lowers the noise that the neighbors hear and is not as loud.

Dumb follow up question to #2 - if I'm not going for super quiet, just not loud at all (scientific description right there), what can I expect from just using normal ammo out of a 6.5cm or .270? Just lots more tolerable or actually not loud at all? Also, I assume it could affect zero and I would have to sight things in again if I did it previously - any other effects when it comes to using normal ammo?

If you get the right can it will be hearing safe. Nothing supersonic high powered rifles shoot will be that quiet. I use them so I can hunt and not have to wear hearing protection. Some cans won’t change point of impact and some will so you should always sight in the rifle after putting a can on it or switching to a different can.

I just got another can that’s better suited for my .308 so I shot it and it was off from the last can I had on it. I have 4 main hunting rifles and split two cans between the 4 riles.

1. There is a trust that you can put all SBR and Cans under or you can do a single shot trust for each individual item.

2. You can kill deer with subs out of a .308 but I wouldn’t do it. Need to make sure you get the right bullet so it expands at slower speeds but again it’s not ideal.
I workout for future me. Just so happens that you can get decent looking if you stick with it. I eat super clean now and feel much better than when I ate like shite.
